After a successful retail career, Abby began her hair journey right here in Jacksonville. Abby started at Hawthorn at the front desk and moved her way up through the apprentice program to become a stylist. She also now assists with the hiring and training of new employees! You can often hear her over the blow dryers telling funny stories about her chihuahua, Beans. Abby is sure to make her clients and anyone within an earshot laugh!

Alyssa's positive attitude and happy disposition is contagious. Sweet as pie, her clients and co-workers simply adore her (it helps that she is the salon's resident baker.) We all light up when she brings in sweet treats!
Ani is the salon's marketing department. She is responsible for the salon's social media and is always coming up with fun and creative ideas for the shop! Ani has one of the most fun personalities in the salon. She's the first to say yes to an after work drink or a weekend brunch! When she's not off jet setting to some fun destination you can catch her at a hot yoga or pilates class on the weekends.
Ariel came to us from her hometown in New Hampshire with a decade of experience behind the chair! This girl is the whole package! From curly cuts, to long locks, men's cuts to pixies, Ariel can do it all! Her hair painting skills are unmatched and her heavy balayages leave everyone speechless! Learn more about Ariel
Ariel has her hands full with two boys in their toddler years! Luckily, she has a big family to help her out! If she's not chasing after her boys, you can probably find her training at the gym earning her the title of Super Mom!
A classic southern bell, Chelsea brings that grace and charm to the salon. Chelsea has been with us since Hawthorn's beginnings and has acquired a loyal following of clientele. She has always pushed herself to be the best at her craft and her hard work has paid off! She completed her Redken colorist certification in 2019 after taking their advanced level exam. Don't let her girly style fool you! Chelsea's interests include fishing, hunting, four wheeling, and anything outdoors! As a hardcore Georgia fan, she is always ready to talk about some football! A lover of animals with a heart of gold who's three dogs keep her busier than the salon does!

It's Christina Bing! She is one of the most passionate hairstylists we have met. She absolutely loves to cut and color hair. Being a blonde herself, she is a blonding superstar!! Christina's clients also love her short textured cuts and pixies. Learn more about Christina
Christina started her career over fifteen years ago in Ohio and has continued to increase her passion through the addition of specialized training and education. From being a color educator for Matrix to taking up-styling classes with the avant garde hair designer, Nicholas French, Christina has a pretty broad resume. When she is not at the salon, she might be traveling to an obscure location. Next time you see her, ask where she is going next!

A Jacksonville native, Ginny grew up dancing at Douglas Anderson and even spent some time on the Jacksonville Jaguars Roar! She is still super active and loves to travel with her hubby!
Haley came to Hawthorn Salon from Alchemy Salon in Orlando in 2016. She's known for voluminous, blended and beautiful hair. Her blowouts are jaw dropping and her clients always leave looking red carpet ready. Haley is considered one of the salon's balayage and highlighting experts, but you can't put her in one box! Haley's sweet personality shines through every day at the salon. She is patient and caring with every client and is an amazing listener. She will work tirelessly to deliver the look you want! When she's not at the salon, Haley enjoys road tripping to the mountains in North Carolina with her hiking BFF (her cute little dog Wiley)!
Thinking about doing something different? Jill is your girl. Her face lights up when she gets to work on a fun cut or color! She loves anything edgy and all fashion colors. She excels at any blonding services from warm and sunny foils to cool and icy bleach and tones. She also loves to do men's cuts and short cuts along with classic cuts like long layers. Jim and his wife moved from Washington D.C. in 2008 and fell in love with the Riverside/Avondale neighborhood. After working in the area for a couple of years, Jim saw the need for a new type of Jacksonville salon…soon after, Hawthorn Salon was born!
Owner, Jim Stracke had a vision for a new kind of Jacksonville salon. A salon that was design driven, appealing to clients and stylists and just flat out cool. This concept became a reality for this Jacksonville stylist and the dedication to distinction is apparent when you step foot into Hawthorn Salon.
You've probably gotten a text or two from Katy if you've hit up the Hawthorn line! She's our salon manager and the crew would be lost without her. Katy is a great people person and has a knack for remembering just about anyone and everyone who's visited the salon! Marlana is a salon favorite with her enthusiastic personality. She is an experienced hair stylist with over 10 years behind the chair. She also worked in hair education at the AVEDA school of Jacksonville. She loves layers, volume and texture and is one of our curly cut specialists! Marlana is a small-town Georgia girl with big city style. She seriously inspires the rest of the Hawthorn gang with her fun and creative looks. She always has a smile on her face and if you hear laughter coming from the salon break room, chances are it's from Marlana being her fun-loving self!
It's easy to spot a Morgan Jones cut! Her signature curtain bangs and textured volume are always dead giveaways. Her curly clients adore her but Morgan can bring out texture on just about any hair type! Payton has a natural gift for hair and her talent evolves every day! She has the drive and passion that makes a top stylist and excels in a variety of hair services. Men's cuts, long layers, bobs and blonding services like balayage and highlighting are just some of her specialties. She was a prime student of Hawthorn's extended education program and has since transitioned to a full-time stylist. Payton is a West Virginia native and moved to Jacksonville with her boyfriend and dog. We couldn't be happier to have them as part of the Hawthorn family! As the youngest sibling with older brothers, she loves a good practical joke and is always pulling one over on one of her coworkers. Her sense of humor and love for her work are what make her such a pleasure to be around!
Tish has an amazing eye and attention to detail. She is known for her balayage and advanced color skills. From maintenance to makeovers, she has the experience to take on any color project.
