Caroline Hill

Caroline Hill is owner / operator of The Groom Room at Healing Springs. Caroline Hill has worked with Healing Springs since 1990. For eight of those years, Caroline worked as a veterinary assistant. Caroline has been grooming pets for decades. Caroline attends continuing education twice yearly to improve her grooming skills and that of her staff and to keep up with the new grooming products that keep your pets healthy and beautiful. Caroline also provides a house call groomer service for clients who have a difficult time getting to Healing Springs. Caroline says that she truly enjoys taking care of people's. What she likes best about Healing Springs is "the employees here are like working with family."

Cassandra Burnette

A graduate of Carroll County High, class of 2011, Cassandra joined Healing Springs in 2010. She is currently attending college to become a licensed veterinary technician while also working at Healing Springs as a veterinary assistant. Cassandra says what she likes best about Healing Springs is working with animals and a great staff.

Dr. Jeff Summey

Dr. Summey brings to Healing Springs a wealth of experience garnered over a long career and a lifetime of working with animals and farms.

Dr. Stephanie Dowell

Dr. Dowell's exceptional academic background combined with her dedicated and successful veterinary career make her a valuable member of the Healing Springs team. Dr. Dowell is also an alumni member of Alpha Phi Omega, a national service fraternity. Her APO volunteer work includes organizing blood donation drives for the American Red Cross and serving as scout leader for Boy and Girl Scout troops at the Governor Moorehead School for the Blind.

Heather Jenkins

Job Titles:

Obtained her bachelor's degree from St. Andrews Presbyterian College where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Earned her doctorate at Virginia Tech (Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine) in 1998. At Virginia Tech, Heather was the recipient of the Dr. Robert F. Fernbaugh Memorial Scholarship based on academic and achievement merit while at Virginia Tech. She was also the recipient of the veterinary college's most prestigious scholarship, the Clarence Gertrude Leach Memorial Scholarship, based on academic achievement during her doctorate education. Dr. Jenkins has done considerable post-graduate work in camelid medicine (llamas and alpacas). She is also one of the work-trip leaders for the Nuñoa Project. High in the mountains of Peru's Nuñoa region, she volunteers to do vet work and provide herd management lectures for farmers. There, she also teaches American veterinary students about camelid medicine. The Nuñoa Project research stations are also gathering information to refine protocols for the care of pregnant and newborn camelid.

Lisa Moxley

Lisa Moxley's years of veterinary experience make her knowledgeable in the care of pets. Lisa has worked with Healing Springs since 1994. She is a graduate of Grayson County High School with college education from Wytheville Community College. Lisa is an avid equestrian. She also owns horses and cattle on her family farm in Grayson County.
