Bryce Hatch

Bryce is an owner and Director of the firm's Assurance and Accounting Services division at Hagen, Kurth, Perman & Co., P.S. Carrie Jo Umba

Carrie Jo is an owner and Co-Director of Tax Services at Hagen, Kurth, Perman & Co., P.S. She started her career as an intern and has been with the firm for over 20 years. She has expertise in business transitions, working with closely held businesses and their entrepreneurial owners towards strategic estate and gift planning. She is involved with tax return and consultation services for clients in a variety of industries and leads the HKP Succession Advisory team. Carrie Jo is a graduate of the University of Washington, with a B.A. in Business Administration and a Masters of Professional Accounting. Upon graduation, she began her public accounting career with Hagen, Kurth, Perman & Co., P.S. in 1997 and earned her C.P.A. in 1998. She is also a 2020 graduate of the Emerging Leaders Academy Program through Upstream Academy. Chris Thom

Chris, an owner on our Tax team, loves a challenge. He brings a wealth of experience when assisting clients with their business needs, such as income tax audits, federal and multistate tax compliance, mergers and acquisitions, tax credits and incentives, accounting methods, entity choice analysis, and business transition planning. After serving overseas in the U.S. Army as a tank mechanic, Chris began his public accounting career in Seattle at a Big Four firm. Prior to joining the HKP team in January 2021, Chris was as a senior manager at Moss Adams where he specialized in serving as a trusted advisor to small and mid-sized companies. While serving a diverse client base, Chris is known for bringing energy and a passion to serving as an income tax and business advisor to clients in the manufacturing, aerospace & defense, technologies, life science, and real estate industries. In his spare time, Chris enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He enjoys hiking, camping, fishing and spending time at the family's beach cabin. Chris specializes in assisting companies and their owners in a variety of industries and entity types. His responsibilities include managing tax compliance and planning, accounting for income tax, entity choice and accounting methods analysis. Danny Hartnell

He specializes in providing tax planning and advisory services to closely held businesses. He is skilled at understanding and responding to the complexities associated with his client's needs in a complete and pro-active manner. Don has been with Hagen, Kurth, Perman for over 40 years. He has also worked at KPMG Peat Marwick and was an officer and manager of the trust tax department at Pacific National Bank. In his spare time, Don is an avid water skier and snow skier. He enjoys family and friends and has been seen hiking on parts of the Pacific Crest Trail. Lee Frank

Prior to joining the HKP team in August of 2022, Lee was a senior manager at a Pennsylvania based regional firm, where he served as the leader of the tax department and as a trusted advisor to the tax team and all firm clients. Lee has also worked for large regional firms in the Pittsburgh area as well as working in the Big Four. In his time away from work, Lee enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters and friends. He enjoys golfing, taking in local sporting events and live music whenever time permits. He also enjoys coaching his daughter's softball team throughout the year. Lee, a Senior Manager on our Tax team, loves finding new ways to assist clients. He brings two decades of experience assisting clients with their business and personal needs.
