Jonathan Saada

Jonathan Saada, best known for his remarkable successes with Hanita end mills and Widia cutting tools, has been helping CNC machine programmers and operators, development teams and production managers at countless machine shops and manufacturing facilities on USA's West Coast for over four decades. And during that time, he's also worked with and mentored many dozens of the industry's top distributor field sales people, demonstrating and teaching how to bring the greatest added-value to their end user customers. So it's well understood why so many people serving the cutting tool industry need only to hear that "Jonathan says it's OK…" or that "Jonathan's working on it…" that their confidence in its success is solidified. Hi-Speed Corporation is Jonathan's manufacturer's rep agency. And YG-1 is now Jonathan's primary line. With their wide portfolio of high performing products and manufacturing capabilities, their continual investment in high level product development & R&D and their committed loyalty to distribution, YG-1 is the perfect partner for Hi-Speed. A true and vested partner in working with Hi-Speed's team of experienced and technically savvy field people to help distributors bring West Coast end users the very best in products, services and support. Jonathan's reputation for solving machining application issues and optimizing applications is most well known in the Aerospace arena. His knowledge and experience in machining the most difficult materials, along with his unique ability to design tooling and guide the cutting tool manufacturer in producing it efficiently at the lowest cost, stems from a lifetime of work at all levels of manufacturing and supplying of cutting tools. His career started in 1974 in the QC department of Hanita Cutting Tools, while attending the Technion Institute of Technology in Israel. Following graduation as an industrial engineer, he became Hanita's R&D manager and then plant manager at a time when CNC grinding and PVD coatings began their use. Jonathan eventually became global marketing manager and soon recognized a new and growing need to bring high performance tooling to Aerospace users. (Jonathan was one of the first to do so!). He also recognized the need to teach and train how to machine with these innovative tools. In 1989, Jonathan moved to Los Angeles to focus the company's efforts in this endeavor. Over the years, with his unique designs in tools like the fine profile rougher, VariMill, WavCut and AL-3, Hanita became the most commonly found end mills in Aerospace shops throughout the West Coast and quickly extended throughout the world.
