Darryl Golden

Darryl Golden was first introduced to the Hedwig House, Inc. in 2014 as a client through his company, The Golden Cleaning Service, LLC. Over the years he built relationships with Michele Edgcumbe, Karen Bitting, Norman Matusak, and Joe Windish and soon became involved through participation in their fundraising events. Darryl was a four-year Army ROTC scholarship recipient and attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, a historically black university (HBCU), where he earned a BS in Business Administration. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant and served in the Army Reserve for four years as a signal officer for the Signal Corps. While on Army Reserve duty, Darryl joined Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia, Inc., an organization founded to serve individuals with disabilities and other special needs. As a distribution center manager, he was in charge of all aspects of the processing and transportation departments, managed in-house contracts, and assisted with the opening of numerous stores throughout middle Georgia. In addition, he provided training for employees as well as worked with and developed on-the-job training for employees with disabilities. Darryl says, "One of the highlights of working with Goodwill Industries was the opportunity to train people with disabilities and then seeing the smile on their faces when they successfully completed their journey. That's something you can't put a monetary value on." This compassion and experience will serve as a great asset as a board member of the Hedwig House, Inc. Darryl later relocated to the Northeast and joined the Johns Hopkins Home Medical Care team in Baltimore, Maryland as a distribution center manager. It was there he managed all aspects of home delivery for the state of Maryland, as well as the company's fleet, trained, evaluated, and developed employees, managed outside courier contracts, and provided on-going training for employees to ensure compliance with the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Darryl's extensive background in distribution and logistics have also afforded him the opportunity to work for such companies as The Chamberlain Group, Inc., FedEx Corporation, The Home Depot, Inc., Vitas HME Solutions, and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries. Darryl is currently employed at Cintas Corporation as an inventory manager. Darryl is the owner of The Golden Cleaning Service, LLC, a family-operated, commercial cleaning business serving small to medium contracts throughout Montgomery county for over ten years. GCS has also been a long-time donor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, located in his hometown of Memphis, TN. Darryl is a proud member of the Kappa Alpha PsiĀ® Fraternity, the 2nd oldest existing collegiate historically Black fraternity headquartered in Philadelphia, PA, where he is involved in community outreach. Darryl and his wife, Cheryl Golden college sweethearts and native Memphians. They currently reside in Lansdale, PA with their two daughters, Maya and Nia, and four-year-old Cavachon, Louie.

Jill Clegg

Jill Clegg joined Republic Bank in 2019 as Assistant Vice President and Store Manager of the Abington Branch. Her responsibilities include leading the Abington team in Fanatic Customer service while making sure the store environment is professional and conducive to business development. In addition, Jill also works to ensure customer relationships are enhanced and maximized. Before joining the Republic Bank team, Jill was with Citizens Bank for fifteen years. Her roles included Assistant Manager and Branch Manager for the Bucks and Montgomery County regions. Jill is very active in the local community by teaching financial literacy and holds a board position for the YWCA Tri-County. In her spare time, Jill loves spending time with her husband, 2 kids and newest grandson born in March 2022.

Joyce Frost

Joyce Frost works as the Director of Financial and Regulatory Reporting for ACTS Retirement-Life Communities, Inc. ("Acts") the nation's largest not-for-profit owner, operator and developer of continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs). Ms. Frost has been with Acts since 2011. She previously served as a Controller for local skilled nursing facilities, and as an auditor in the healthcare industry for Ernst & Young and CBIZ for ten years. Ms. Frost is a Certified Public Accountant since 1990. She serves as the Treasurer for Buddy Project, Inc. ("BP"), a not-for-profit organization that aims to prevent suicide and self-harm by pairing people as buddies and raising awareness for mental health. BP was founded by her daughter Gabby in 2013 when she was 15 years old, and has currently paired over 228,000 people together globally based on mutual interests. Ms. Frost currently serves as the President of ACTSually Speaking, a Corporate Toastmasters club. She previously served as the Director of Education of ACTSually Speaking for a two-year term. Ms. Frost earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Temple University, and her Master of Taxation degree from Widener University. Joyce and her husband, George Frost, reside in Montgomeryville, PA with their three children, Gabby, Nick and Brady.

Kenneth Mueller

Kenneth Mueller is the Integration Environment, Health and Safety Manager for Knoll Inc. He has worked at Knoll/Westinghouse for 42 years holding leadership positions in Logistics, Field Service, EHS and KnollTextiles. Working with Knoll associates at all levels of the business has been one of the areas Kenneth has especially enjoyed. His strong leadership, dedication and influential relationships helped Knoll achieve OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star Status. A Star rating is the highest a company can obtain in OSHA's premier partnership program. Kenneth was also elected an OSHA Special Government Employee helping OSHA conduct VPP audits. Kenneth has been a volunteer at the Hedwig House since 2016 participating in classroom discussions and interactive programs relating to music, TV ads, vacation trips as well as helping organize Super Bowl box pools, fantasy football and March Madness events. Kenneth has also been an integral part of the volunteer program working with two Hedwig House Members. He states that somewhere during this process he crossed the line from volunteering to friendship with the Hedwig House Members. He is an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, gardener and enjoys many activities to stay healthy. Kenneth lives in Harleysville with his wife Joanne and their rescue dog.

Mike Jaeger

Mike Jaeger has been involved with Hedwig House since 2014, where he was initially brought in to help transition the accounting function and assist in implementing a more permanent role for the organization. In early 2015 Mike was nominated to the Board of Directors and soon after elected as the Board Treasurer which he served as for two years. As of July 2018 Mike has been elected to the role of Board President. This is Mike's first experience as a Board member, but believes his fresh perspective combined with the extensive experience of his other Board peers is good for the growth and strengthening of Hedwig House. Mike currently works as a Senior Manager for CFGI, a national finance and accounting firm. Mike has worked in public accounting since he graduated from Bloomsburg University in 2005. He has extensive experience in various industries including non-for-profit entities like Hedwig House. His experiences in public accounting have provided him a strong belief in team work and a balanced perspective to achieve goals, which is his hope to help Hedwig House flourish. Mike and his family reside in Lansdale, Pa, which is where him and his wife, Joanna, both grew up and graduated from North Penn High School. They have two sons, Benny and Miles, and a lovely daughter, Quinn.

Nelson J. Acevedo

Nelson has been faithful to his personal mission of helping families and communities thrive. He is an honest and forthright businessman diversifying financial portfolios and uplifting barrios, one personalized agreement at a time. Nelson is currently the Vice President and Community Development Specialist with PNC Bank, a bank with which he has served for over a decade. Leading the next generation with examples of stewardship and trust to help serve marginalized communities, he has been an active voice serving community nonprofits. His past nonprofit board service has been with Willow Grove CDC, The Salvation Army - Levittown, PA Division, Rebuilding Together Philadelphia, Housing Equity Center and Esperanza, where he served as Chairman of the Board from 2008-2017.

Nicholas J. DiMarino

Nick has been associated with Hedwig House for the last four years, a member for Hedwig House Board for three years and the Board Chairperson for the last two years. He is now the Vice President of the Board.

Suzanne Franks

Suzanne Franks, co-owner of J.L. Freed Honda in Montgomeryville, graduated from Carnegie Mellon and worked as a software training consultant for Burroughs Corporation and McDonald Douglas. Suzanne and her husband, Don, have been married for over 44 years and work together to carry on the fourth generation family business, founded in 1883. Suzanne and her husband also have three grown children, and most recently welcomed their first grandchild. Suzanne has been very active in the American Association of University Women (AAUW). A past President and Chairman of numerous committees, she led the development and management of a program called Curtain Time for Kids, fine entertainment for community children and a major source of funding for the Association. She is still very active in supporting AAUW and its community outreach programs. She also enjoys subgroups such as an investment club, book group and the scholarship committee. Suzanne also plays a significant role at the church her parents supported for many years, St. John's United Church of Christ. She volunteers many hours with the gardening group, and several fund raising and spiritual initiatives. In addition, she also leads a group in support of the National Needlework Guild, a group dedicated to providing clothing and personal needs for those less fortunate in our community and beyond. In addition and in conjunction with the Caring for Kids Foundation, she organizes and coordinates the dealership effort in support of the Driving Away the Cold campaign, providing new coats to children in the Philadelphia area. In her spare time, Suzanne enjoys, traveling, reading, gardening and spending time with her family. Suzanne and her husband were honored with the Patricia Kind legacy award at Hedwig House's 4th Annual Fundraiser in 2016. Hedwig House has had the pleasure of working closely with Suzanne and J.L. Freed Honda over the last several years are extremely grateful for her continued dedication and support to our organization.

Tom Edwards

Tom Edwards pursues organizational effectiveness from the three perspectives of research, practical application, and teaching. His many years of practical Tom has served as an executive with profit and loss responsibility for a strategic business unit of a NYSE listed manufacturing firm and then accepted the challenge of building a culture of innovation at the company. Tom's current challenge is building a graduate program in leadership for the college of engineering at Temple University in Philadelphia. Tom believes that effective leadership at every level of an organization is critical to achieving overall organizational goals.
