Hofseth is a fully integrated seafood company and one of the largest salmon and trout processors in the world. From our headquarters in Ålesund, Norway, through our global distribution network, we offer a wide range of healthy, sustainable and high-quality seafood products from the Norwegian coast... Hofseth was established in 2002 based on a vision that more of the fish should be processed close to where it is farmed. Since then, a seafood company that covers the entire value chain in the production of salmon and trout has been built, all in close proximity on Sunnmøre, northwest Norway... The Japanese food company Yokohama Reito (Yokorei) invests in Hofseth. This marked the beginning of a very good partnership that gave Hofseth and Hofseth Biocare the financial flexibility to grow. The Japanese company would also play a crucial role in enabling Hofseth to invest in aquaculture a couple of years later. The good collaboration with the Yokorei continues today.
