Alec Yuzhbabenko

Andy Craven

Andy has served as project architect, designer, LEED® AP, and BIM technician on a wide variety of projects, including housing, historic and adaptive re-use, and military facilities. He is engaged by the idea of transforming an old and tired building into something warm, bright, and full of life, as well as by avoiding the excesses that often come with new construction. He is skilled at Revit®, AutoCAD, and SketchUp, and is certified as a project management professional by the Project Management Institute. Andy also currently serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Corps of Engineers and is active in the Hampton Roads Chapter of the AIA.

Angela Bailey

Annesley B. Cole

Annesley Cole's work is informed by her longstanding commitment to sustainability and her desire to create buildings that enhance user experience. Her background includes a wide range of project types, but of particular interest is the intersection between physical and mental health and human-centered design. Annesley views the programming phase of a project as a fresh challenge each time, and the construction phase as a rewarding process of fine-tuning the larger ideas that have gone into the design. She is pursuing the project management side of the field due to her proficiency with BIM software and coordinating with the contractors and consultants to complete the project. Annesley finds great fulfillment in working with a client from the first design conversation to the grand opening.

Eliot Ball

Erika Feggestad

Jared Coffin has more than 25 years of architectural experience on a variety of small- to large-scale projects, varying in degrees of technical and design complexity, including child care and educational facilities, recreational buildings, restaurants and multi-family designs. He was featured in Inside Business Magazine as one of the Hampton Roads region's "Top 40 under 40." He shares his talents with a project called "Living Waters for the World," having helped with the installation of seven clean water projects in Nicaragua since 2006.

Jeffrey G. Butts

Karim El-Araby

Ryan Cooper

S. Mike Evans, FAIA, is a founding member of Hanbury Evans Wright Vlattas and served as the firm's CEO for 22 years. Over the course of his career, he became a powerful national influence on the planning and design of student learning communities. Energetic and communicative, he has been a constant source of new ideas and emergent possibilities, qualities that have impacted education at all levels. His vision has helped shape student experience on more than 100 campuses throughout the United States and abroad. Mike is also an educator and a conceptual strategist who constantly seeks to enrich his environment. His career has been characterized by insatiable curiosity, innovative thinking, systems thinking, and collaboration. As CEO, his legacy includes key qualities extant at Hanbury today: curiosity, learning, and striving for excellence. In addition to his architectural awards and accomplishments, including an AIA fellowship, Mike has shared his knowledge with clients and campus professionals through numerous conference presentations. Mike is a recipient of the ACUHO-I Parthenon Award for distinguished service to the campus housing profession and facilitated the organization's Global Housing Summit in Hong Kong in 2009. He created Hanbury's Virginia Design Medal, one of several firm "legacy" programs, which is awarded to a distinguished faculty member from an esteemed architectural school who spends two weeks each summer challenging and shaping the firm's thinking and work.
