HERTFORDSHIRE CHESS

Hertfordshire Chess Association (HCA) was formed in 1902 and organises chess activity for chess clubs throughout the county. Its season runs from the beginning of October through to June when there are league and knockout competitions. 14 Hertfordshire clubs are registered with the HCA and they meet weekly in a social environment to play over-the-board (not internet) chess . The HCA has at least one county team that plays matches against neighbouring counties.
