Andrew Micheletti joined Herrling Clark in 2022 after working for over 13 years at a local Fox Valley firm. Andrew is a graduate of the University of Minnesota - Duluth and earned his Juris Doctorate in 2008 from the University of St. Thomas, School of Law in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Andrew's primary areas of practice are Civil Litigation, Business Law, Employment Law, Foreclosures and Real Estate. Andrew has litigated cases all over the State of Wisconsin at both the State and Federal levels. He has also represented clients in multiple appeals actions including arguing before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
In addition to his professional experience, Andrew has extensively volunteered in the community currently serving as a board member of the Appleton Downtown YMCA and is a member of the Y Service Club. Andrew has also served on the Heckrodt Wetland Reserve Board of Directors, the UW Fox Valley Foundation Board, and the Appleton Downtown Rotary Board of Directors and the Appleton Rotary Downtown Foundation Board.
In his spare time, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, hunting, golfing and spending time with friends and family.
Attorney Chuck Koehler has been a Partner with the Herrling Clark Law Firm for over 25 years as Financial Chairman. From 2013-2014 he served as the Firm's President. Chuck's practice is concentrated in areas of business and personal financial matters, business and real estate transactions, municipal law, employment law, and related matters in these areas of law. Chuck also handles a wide variety of disputes, mediations, and lawsuits including matters involving real estate, employment issues, creditors' rights, municipal matters, banking matters, partnerships, limited liability companies, corporate law, purchase, and sale of businesses, bankruptcy, and estate and business transition planning and strategies.
Chuck Hartzheim served as an attorney with the Herrling Clark Law Firm since 1972 until his retirement on December 31, 2020. Shortly after his retirement, Chuck passed away and it was with heavy hearts we all said our goodbyes. But we also reflected on Chuck's life with gratitude for all that Chuck contributed to our Firm and to his clients over the years, and we will be forever thankful for his friendship.
Attorney Hartzheim emphasized practice in the areas of business law, business mergers and acquisition law, trusts, estate planning, probate law, real estate law, and elder law/divestment of assets. When he was active in practice, Chuck served on many boards and committees to ensure he could best serve his clients, such as the Probate, Trust, and Real Estate Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin. He also gave his time and talents, serving pro bono as legal counsel for the Chattam Apartments/Assisted Living Board of Directors and Chaps Academy. Chuck also spent a lot of time working with the Fox Valley Board of Realtors.
Returning to his hometown, Gabe earned his Juris Doctorate from the Marquette University Law School. While enrolled at Marquette, Gabe participated in Moot Court, competing in national competitions such as the William B. Spong Invitational. As an attorney with the Herrling Clark Law Firm, Gabe has a general practice with an emphasis on civil litigation, business transactions, contracts, employment law, commercial and residential real estate, municipal law, and estate planning.
Outside of work, Gabe enjoys reading any book he can find, cheering on Wisconsin sports, coaching wrestling, and playing volleyball.
Attorney Greg Curtis is a Partner with the Herrling Clark Law Firm, Ltd. Greg joined the firm immediately after earning his doctorate in law from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1990. Since that time, Greg has concentrated his practice in the areas of business and corporate law, estate planning, elder law, real estate, and business succession planning. Greg also spent numerous years representing various municipalities as a town, city, or village attorney.
Greg's remarkable acumen in business matters can be attributed to years of experience handling complex matters such as: the forming of corporations and limited liability companies; drafting buy-sell agreements; drafting employment agreements; drafting, reviewing, and litigating the enforceability of contracts; drafting and reviewing stock sale agreements; negotiating and closing complex business sales and purchases; and drafting of all pertinent real estate documents including land contracts, offers to purchase, and deeds.
While in practice, Greg has been rated a "premium pick" as an attorney involved with wills, probate, and trusts and estates by a Fox Cities Magazine survey. Since 2014, Greg has also been named to the Wisconsin Super Lawyer list, putting him in the elite category of the just 5% of attorneys so recognized state-wide. Before embarking on his legal career, Greg studied at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. Greg earned not only academic honors while at Lawrence but athletic accolades as well. Greg was an All-Time All-Midwest Conference selection as a running back for three years in addition to being an honorable mention for the Pizza Hut All-American team in 1983. In 1986, the last year that Lawrence won a conference championship, Greg served as a co-captain of the team. Greg is also proud to have been inducted to the Oshkosh North High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

John Claypool concentrates his practice in the area of personal injury litigation. He is a board certified by the National Board of Trial Advocates. Throughout John's career, he has taken on large corporations on behalf of his clients, including Walmart, Walgreen's, WE Energies, AT&T. ShopKo, Stanley, Black & Decker, and Ford Motor Company, just to name a few.
Because of his professional acumen and reputation, John is frequently asked to serve as a mediator in personal injury cases. John was rated by an international service as having high to very high legal ability and very high ethical standards as established by confidential opinions of the Bar in Northeast Wisconsin.
John is very involved in the Fox Valley Community. He has also served on the Wisconsin State Bar's Board of Governors and the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Association for Justic. Locally, John served as a past-president of the Outagamie County Bar Association and sat on the Board of Director for C.O.T.S.
Katelyn P. Sandfort joined Herrling Clark in 2020 after a decade of complex litigation practice at a Northeast Wisconsin law firm. She was promoted to shareholder in 2022. Katelyn completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota and went on to earn her juris doctorate from the University of Wisconsin.
Katelyn's primary area of practice is representing injured people and their families when they have been involved in an accident or other injurious event. The first ten years of her career, she defended personal injury actions. Her past experience as a defense attorney provides her additional insight of what the insurance company on the other side of a claim will likely do, both pre-suit and in litigation. She is able to use that advantage for her clients' benefit while litigating and resolving their claims.
Katelyn has tried cases throughout the State of Wisconsin, from Milwaukee County to Eau Claire County and, of course, close to home in Outagamie County. She is a member of the Wisconsin Association for Justice, as well as various local bar associations. She is an active member of the WAJ Women's Caucus and enjoys participating in continuing legal education opportunities that promote a deeper understanding of the laws that impact her clients while also supporting and encouraging other women in the practice of law.

Kelly S. Kelly is a partner at the Herrling Clark Law Firm, Ltd. Kelly's practice is entirely devoted to family law matters. From a straightforward modification of support or maintenance claim to litigating a complex divorce, Kelly has experience and comfort handling a variety of legal matters that affect her clients and their families. After almost twenty years of experience in the family law arena, Kelly knows how critical it is that all family law cases be handled diligently, with compassion and respect.
Kelly practices throughout Northeast Wisconsin, including Outagamie, Brown, Calumet, Winnebago, Waupaca, and the surrounding counties. Kevin Lonergan is recognized within the legal community for handling complex litigation matters for clients with catastrophic injuries and for clients who have lost loved ones. Kevin has served as President of Herrling Clark Law Firm. He also was elected and served as the president of the Wisconsin Association for Justice, the most prominent organization of personal injury trial lawyers in the state, after having served as secretary, treasurer, and vice-president. He was elected and served as the president of the Outagamie County Bar Association and was twice elected in statewide elections to the board of the Litigation Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin. Kevin is a former chairperson of that prestigious board. For several years, he was the chair of the State Bar's Public Education Committee.
He has been a part-time Court Commissioner for Outagamie County since 1988. Kevin has authored numerous articles and has been a frequent lecturer at seminars designed to educate lawyers about the handling of personal injury cases. For more than a decade, he was the host of a TV show called "You and the Law, " where he interviewed prominent guests and moderated debates, including several debates involving candidates for the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Kevin has been a regular guest as a personal injury specialist on the local WHBY radio program, and he has been interviewed on Wisconsin Public Radio with regard to protecting the rights of injured people. Mike joined the firm in 1974. He served as the firm's President for six years. Mike's trial experience includes a wide range of claims, from winning a jury verdict against Ford Motor Company for manufacturing a defective automobile to obtaining a punitive damages award against a national insurance company for libel and slander. He has tried accident cases involving farm machinery, ATVs, motorcycles, automobiles, dog bites, and other animal claims, as well as claims against manufacturers of defective products. He has argued numerous cases before the Wisconsin Court of Appeals and the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Mike's practice is entirely dedicated to personal injury. Mike has been certified both as a Civil Trial Advocacy Specialist and a Civil Pre-trial Advocacy Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy since 1982. He has been named the top personal injury and products liability lawyer in the Fox Cities and one of the top trial lawyers nationally. Paula A. Hamer is a Partner at the Herrling Clark Law Firm, Ltd. Paula's practice is entirely devoted to family law issues and related litigation. For the past decade, Paula has served clients in the areas of divorce, paternity actions, custody and physical placement disputes, adoptions, and claims to terminate parental rights. Prior to dedicating her entire practice to the representation of clients involved in family law cases, Paula served as a town, city, and village attorney for various local municipalities.

Richard focuses his practice on personal injury cases and also handles labor law matters. Richard represents the Independent Employees Union at Hillshire Farm Company, Inc., the Banta Book Group Maintenance Department, and Local Union 78T: Voith Fabrics. Richard's working knowledge and understanding of municipal laws and codes along with his trial experience and comfort in the courtroom served him well in his role as the lead prosecutor and Town Attorney for a prominent local municipality for over 20 years.
Richard has handled complex litigation matters in front of both the Wisconsin Supreme Court and Wisconsin Court of Appeals, including oral arguments in front of each court. He was appointed by the Wisconsin Supreme Court to serve three terms on the District Committee of the Office of Lawyer Regulation, which oversees the ethical and professional conduct of all attorneys admitted to practice within the State of Wisconsin.

Robert B. Loomis is a Partner with the Herrling Clark Law Firm. He concentrates his law practice in the areas of divorce, post-divorce, and family law. Robert is nationally board certified as a family law trial advocacy specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Robert has also been consistently named to the Super Lawyer list by a prominent statewide magazine, placing him in the top 5% of all attorneys in Wisconsin.

Roger Clark developed specialties in personal injury litigation, municipal law, and municipal litigation. His advocacy lead to the development of one of the firm's major specialties: personal injury litigation. The municipal litigation earned him a statewide reputation in the field. The firm continues to consult with municipal clients on a statewide basis. He has also had appointments as an Instructor at the University of Wisconsin Law School in the Municipal Law course.
Roger was vice-president of the law firm from its inception. Upon Don Herrling's retirement as president, Roger held that position until 1997. In that year, Roger assumed an "of counsel" status with the firm. In that capacity, he has been working on projects and cases, and assists in the areas of his specialties. He has also offered his services as a mediator assisting in alternative dispute resolution. Roger continues to work with area towns and villages, and recently completed the legal framework for a new concept in multi-jurisdictional storm management.
