Amelia has successfully established several schemes within the Leisure, Transport and Local Industries. Being very proud of the long-standing relationship she has with her clients, Amelia prides herself on always delivering expert service and advice.

Ben Alexander

Ben started his Insurance career with HIB in 2011 and has since become heavily involved in all areas of the Leisure and Amusement Industry. Ben has been pivotal in the development and success of many tailored schemes to cover transportable amusement rides and motor vehicles with large insurers around the world. This has helped HIB get a footprint Australia wide in this niche field and assist many clients with this hard to place insurance. Along with his work in the Leisure and Amusement industry, Ben is also focused on providing expert advice for individuals and businesses of all types in the Albury Wodonga area.

Carissa Alexander

Carissa has a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Economics & Finance from Deakin University and has enjoyed an extensive career in the Banking & Finance Industry. Prior to joining HIB Carissa had a long career as a Business Banker with one of Australia's major banks. Since joining HIB in 2009 she has held many roles within the Broking Industry from Receptionist, to Account Manager & Office Manager. Carissa has a passion for compliance which sees her manage the ever-evolving compliance requirements within HIB along with the financial & strategic operations of the business.

David Rumble

Job Titles:
  • Claims Manager
David has worked in the Insurance industry since 2016 in a variety of claims related roles. David first came to the industry as a Loss Adjuster after his extensive experience in the construction Industry. Since then David has been working as a claims manager, managing large portfolios of complex domestic and commercial claims. David's client first mentality and empathetic approach to handling claims ensure our client's always receive the best possible claims service.

Matt Sheridan

Matt joined HIB in 2021 with over 19 years' experience in the insurance industry. Matt has worked in various roles including Underwriting and Claims Management followed by a period in the Broking market where he was developing and managing the design and strategy of national portfolios with an international broker. Matt's extensive insurance experience coupled with 13 years owning a small business has seen him develop a holistic approach to business and now enjoys helping HIB and it's employees develop strategies that are tailored with the client's business at the forefront of priorities. Matt has an MBA majoring in International Business and is a Senior Associate with ANZIIF.

Michael Alexander - Managing Director

Mick entered the insurance industry way back in 1998 when he started working in the family business as a junior broker. He then relocated to Sydney to gain more experience working in a corporate broking firm. After a few years in Sydney he moved back to Albury and took on a sales role with HIB, developing local clients as well as putting HIB on the map in regard to the Amusement & Leisure industry. Mick and his wife Carissa are now the proud owners of HIB after taking over the business in 2012. Since then they have grown the business from 7 to 18 staff and take pride in the local community and the customer service that HIB offers.

Nicholas Barr

Simone Edwards

Job Titles:
  • Broking Assistant
Simone joined the Insurance Industry in 2019 after a career change from retail management. She has since obtained her Tier 1 in Insurance Broking and plans to continue her studies with the Diploma of Insurance Broking. Simone has an extensive background in customer service and is keen to utilise these skills in the insurance sector. With ongoing training and mentoring from her experienced colleagues she strives to further her insurance knowledge and prides herself on offering her clients excellent customer service and enjoys helping her clients understand their insurance needs.
