HILLVIEW HOME - Key Persons
Rev. Cecelia Chiodo, mother and grandmother to the current owners of Hillview Home, was a woman with a big heart who always made sure that anyone who needed a place to stay was welcome to call on her and she would be sure to open the doors of her own personal home to help those in need. It was through this time period of her life where Rev. Chiodo recognized an additional need in our society -- to create a warm and caring facility with an emphasis on personal attention for our senior citizens.
In July 1968, Rev. Cecelia Chiodo and her son, Richard Arena and wife Ann started Hillview Home to provide care for many disadvantaged men and women. In the early 1970's, Richard Arena worked on the Pennsylvania Task Force to institute a licensure for Hillview Home and all personal care homes in the State. Currenty, Rev. Chiodo's granddaughter, Mary-Jo Arena Cronin, serves as administrator for our facility and shares this role along with her parents Richard and Ann Arena.
