Mr. Cook is a licensed professional engineer with more than 32 years of experience in the public and private sectors. For the past 24 years, he has served as the Ogle County Engineer where he used a proactive approach and innovation to meet the needs of the county highway system, local stakeholders and transportation users. He was responsible for the construction and maintenance of the county highway system consisting of 273 miles of highways and 55 bridges. He supervised the maintenance and engineering staff of 20 employees, and provided technical, administrative, and maintenance assistance and/or advice to 24 Township Road Commissioners. He compiled and oversaw implementation of the Five Year Construction Plan and Annual Budget. He reviewed, approved, inspected, and accepted all construction of new subdivision streets and roads in unincorporated areas of Ogle County, and served as coordinator/advisor to Ogle County GIS Partnership made up of 15 public agencies within Ogle County. Mr. Cook joined the firm as a Principal in 2016 and is the Office Manager for the Rockford branch office.
Mr. Buening is a licensed professional and structural engineer with 12 years of experience on transportation and civil projects, particularly in the area of inspection and design of structures. He is experienced in the inspection and analysis of transportation and pedestrian bridges, structure foundations and supports, building design, research and final design of alternate structure types, preparation of Type Size & Location (TS&L) and Bridge Condition Reports, and performing hydraulic analysis. Mr. Buening is also responsible for the management of the Decatur Office. He joined the firm in 2004 and became a Partner in 2019 and is now a Managing Partner in the firm as of 2023. Mr. Buening holds an S.E. license in Illinois and P.E. licenses in Illinois, Missouri and Nebraska.

Mr. Myers is a licensed professional engineer with over 32 years of experience on large transportation, municipal, county, and civil site design projects. Mr. Myers has managed numerous design and construction projects for the Illinois Department of Transportation, municipalities and counties in Illinois. He has an extensive background in all aspects of planning, design and construction engineering, including but not limited to developing geometrics for highways, roadways, and bridges; developing MOT, drainage, intersection/interchange designs, and traffic signal plans; utility studies and design; stormwater conveyance and detention; final project documentation; and construction inspection and staking. He advanced his career at Chastain from entry-level graduate engineer to become a Principal in the firm. Today, Mr. Myers serves as Principal In Charge on major transportation and municipal projects.
