Clyde D. Compton attended DePauw University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He subsequently obtained his law degree from the Indiana School of Law, Bloomington. A member of the bar for over fifty years, Clyde represented municipal, corporate, and private clients in a variety of areas, including municipal law, administrative law, business, estate planning, real estate, and trials in both State and Federal courts. Clyde has long been active in the community and in service to the Indiana Bar. He serves as an elder in the Presbyterian Church and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the John W. Anderson Foundation.

Earle F. Hites

Earle F. Hites received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Indiana University and his law degree from Valparaiso University, where he served as Associate Editor of the Valparaiso University Law Review. Earle joined the firm in 1972, and has extensive experience in health care, corporate, business, commercial, transactional, and real estate law. Earle has been very active in community affairs, having volunteered service to several civic and non-profit organizations. He has received numerous awards and recognitions for his service.

Laura B. Frost received her Bachelor of Arts in English, Magna Cum Laude, from Illinois Wesleyan University, where she was a member of Phi Kappa Phi Academic Honors Society and was Student Senate Vice-President. She subsequently received her law degree, Summa Cum Laude, from Valparaiso University School of Law, where she received the Jurist Award full tuition academic scholarship and served as Note Editor for the Valparaiso University Law Review. Laura provides legal services to health care providers who practice in a complex, highly regulated environment, as well as to other business and nonprofit clients. Laura has a deep appreciation for the arts and regularly attends the local symphony and other community musical and theater productions.

R. Lawrence Steele

R. Lawrence Steele, a Valparaiso native, received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and law degree from Indiana University. Prior to joining the firm, he worked in the Lake and Porter County Prosecuting Attorneys' Offices and was the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Indiana. As U.S. Attorney, he successfully prosecuted significant criminal cases involving the FBI, DEA, IRS, U.S. Customs, and the Secret Service, and also represented the government in federal civil trials. After entering private practice, Larry served as attorney for a number of governmental subdivisions. Larry has received numerous commendations for public service, including recognition from the President of the United States, the Attorney General, the Indiana State Police, and the Director of the FBI. Larry continues to represent clients in civil and criminal cases, as well as business and real estate matters. He is also a certified Indiana Mediator, and has frequently served as a Guardian ad Litem. He is admitted to practice law in Indiana and Wisconsin.

Shawn D. Cox

Shawn D. Cox received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English, Magna Cum Laude, from Wabash College, and his law degree from Indiana University School of Law - Bloomington. He focuses his practice on representing small businesses (including health care businesses and non-profits) and their owners experiencing financial problems, and guiding them through the bankruptcy process when other options are exhausted. He also represents clients involved in ownership and non-competition disputes, and continues to represent secured and unsecured creditors, as well as receivers, in debtor/creditor proceedings, including bankruptcy litigation. Shawn is actively involved in the Lake County Bar Association, and other local non-profits.
