This evolved into a design-build construction company, and ultimately the architectural design firm of today. HML Architecture specializes in environmentally conscious, sustainable design and green construction; and provides full architectural services to a wide range of projects. As an academic and author, Harlan has lectured at universities and professional seminars. Harlan has travelled extensively and lived and worked in numerous states and countries. He is fluent in Spanish, an experienced sailor, open water diver, a black belt in tae kwon do and has practiced yoga for many years. He now lives and practices architecture and organic gardening in Austin, Texas.
