Dr. Amos CY Lo

Qualifications Amos Lo, MB BS, FRCS (Glasg), FRCSEd (ORL), FHKCORL, FHKAM (Otorhinolaryngology), graduated from St. Joseph's College in 1988 and the University of Hong Kong in 1993 with distinction in Biochemistry. After a year of intership, he entered into training in Otorhinolaryngology in Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital in Hong Kong in 1994. He spent his elective training in the fields of general surgery, intensive care and emergency medicine. He finished his higher training and became a Specialist in Otorhinolaryngology in 2003. He developed special interest in laryngology and phonosurgery where he completed a clinical attachment in specialized voice clinics and attended voice conferences in the United States. He was the surgeon-in-charge of the Voice Clinic of his training hospital. His scope of practice also included diagnosis and treatment of general ear, nose and throat diseases as well as sleep-related disorders. He entered private practice and joined Hong Kong Surgical Specialists in 2006. He is currently a member of the Hong Kong Voice Foundation, the Hong Kong Institute of Allergy, the Hong Kong Surgical Laser Association, the Hong Kong Society of Sleep Medicine and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Dan Hooley

Dr. Hooley's Shanghai clinics at GHC PuXi Medical & Dental Centre are updated weekly for confirmation of clinic dates. Qualifications Dr Hooley [MB,BS (Syd), FRCSEd, FHKCOS, FHKAM(Orth)] graduated from the University of Sydney in 1974 and held a number of surgical training posts in Sydney before starting his orthopaedic training in 1978. He held several registrar posts in Sydney, followed by three years in Edinburgh, before returning to Sydney in 1986 as senior registrar. Dr Hooley commenced private practice in Sydney in 1986, and held various visiting positions in public and private hospitals, co-founding a sports medicine clinic at the The Ryde hospital in Sydney.

Dr. Donald Greig

Currently, Dr. Donald Greig and Dr. Dan Hooley have been commuting to Shanghai on a fortnightly basis since 2005 to hold specialist surgical clinics in general and orthopaedic surgery. Dr. Greig, is a general surgeon and Dr. Hooley, an orthopaedic surgeon: are colleagues and partners in their Hong Kong based practice, Hong Kong Surgical Specialists. They provide care to the international community not only in Shanghai, but also the surrounding provinces. Qualifications Dr. Greig, MB ChB, MD, FRCS (Ed.), FRCS (Glasg.), FRCSEd (Gen. Surg.), FCS (H.K.), FHKAM (Surgery), graduated with Honours from University of Aberdeen in July 1982 and held junior surgical posts in the Aberdeen teaching hospitals. In 1985, he moved to Glasgow to complete a 3-year surgical registrar training and then to Edinburgh in 1988 to embark on an MD research thesis. In 1990, he was attached to University Department of Surgery, Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong, for one year as a visiting lecturer. His surgical training was completed in Edinburgh as a lecturer and senior registrar, including one year in the Edinburgh Breast Unit. He was appointed as a Consultant General Surgeon and Senior Lecturer (University of Edinburgh) in one of the Edinburgh Teaching Hospitals in 1995. He returned to Hong Kong on a permanent basis in 1998 to work as a surgical specialist in a large private practice (QHMS). In 2002, Dr. Greig with several of his colleagues established Hong Kong Surgical Specialists in Jardine House, a multidisciplinary practice of surgical and anaesthetic specialists with physiotherapists forming the Sports & Spinal Physiotherapy Centre.
