Dr Rose Sutherland

Rose has sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Rose studied at Otago University and holds a post-graduate certificate in women's health. She has worked in a hospital environment before embarking on a role in rural general practice. Rose's interests are women's and children's health. Rose grew up in North Canterbury and has recently returned to Christchurch to spend more time with her family. She enjoys outdoor pursuits which include skiing, netball and relaxes by reading and painting.

Dr Sarah Hughes

Sarah has sessions on Monday am, Tuesday am, and Thursday. Sarah joined the medical centre as an associate in 2017. Her special interests are skin cancer recognition, women's health, gynaecology and paediatrics. Sarah qualified from Aberdeen University in 2000. Her initial training was in anaesthetics, where she completed postgraduate qualifications before gaining fellowship of the NZ College of General Practitioners. She also has qualifications in obstetrics, gynaecology and the Certificate of Dermoscopy. She moved to NZ in 2001 with her husband and 2 girls. She is an active outdoor enthusiast, enjoying biking and rogaines, as well as relaxing with crochet, sewing, crafts and gardening. Sarah joined the medical centre as an associate in 2017. Her special interests are in skin cancer recognition, women's health, gynaecology and paediatrics.
