Magda Szarota, HIA Poland Board Member, on the invitation of the Members of the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality of the European Parliament made an expert and activist intervention during an inter-parliamentary committee meeting to mark the International Day on the Elimination of Violence against Women.
Magda Szarota, a board member of Humanity In Action Polska, joined the feminist round table on how to make the EU directive on gender-based violence intersectional, comprehensive & effective.
Magda Szarota, a board member of Humanity In Action Polska, together with Suzannah Phillips, Deputy Director from Women Enabled, bring women with disabilities to the front in the debate on abortion rights in Poland.
Magda is a Member of the Management Board of Humanity in Action Poland and a Steering Committee member of the Feminist Alliance for Rights run by the Center for Women's Global Leadership/Rutgers University (US). She is a Founding Member of Artykuł 6 (a Polish feminist disability rights collective) and cooperates with Women Enabled International (US) and Sisters of Frida (UK). Magda is also a doctoral candidate at the Lancaster University and a recipient of numerous merit-based scholarships from e.g. Yale University, Kosciuszko Foundation and Ashoka: Innovators for the Public.

Magdalena Fuchs has long been fascinated by the Jewish culture and interreligious dialogue. It was only natural that her idea for the Action Project had to involve education and tolerance. As a lawyer and human rights activist, she knows best the value of teaching solidarity with minority groups and the real danger of hate speech.
