IAOBA

The Illinois Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association (IAOBA) is the official Illinois Affiliate of the Alpaca Owners Association (AOA). Breeders within the state of Illinois have recognized that the industry is growing very quickly in our state... With the large growth in breeders, fiber farms and 'pet' alpaca owners, we have recognized a need for increased education and association with other farms for collective support and resources in the many areas involved in the Alpaca Industry... Formed as a not-for-profit corporation in 2004, IAOBA members had been meeting since 2003 at various farms across the state. Recognizing the need for an organized affiliate, we began the process of applying as an AOA Affiliate and succeeded in November of 2004.
