Augustine M.K. Choi, M.D., is Senior Vice President and Senior Advisor for Strategic Planning to the President & CEO at NewYork-Presbyterian. In this role, Dr. Choi helps promote strategic planning of NYP's academic missions at NYP Brooklyn and NYP Queens, in collaboration with clinical service chiefs at those hospitals and clinical chairs at NYP/Weill Cornell. He also assists in promoting clinical trials and clinical research at NYP Brooklyn and NYP Queens, and develops and promotes activities at Meyer Cancer Center.
Dr. Choi served as Dean of Weill Cornell Medicine and Provost for Medical Affairs of Cornell University from 2017 to 2022. His tenure was marked by significant gains in the diversity of the school's leadership and classes, implementation of debt-free education for eligible students, and recruitment of talent for the school's Chair groups.
Dr. Choi is an internationally renowned physician-scientist in the field of lung disease, whose research is focused on understanding how chronic and acute lung diseases develop in response to molecular, cellular and genetic triggers. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Kentucky and a medical degree from the University of Louisville. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Duke University, and a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Choi is an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine.

Brian Donley, M.D., is Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of NewYork-Presbyterian. In this role, he is responsible for directing the strategy and operations of NewYork-Presbyterian, developing the healthcare system's patient-centered culture and strategic vision along with achieving the operating targets across the enterprise.
Dr. Donley, an orthopedic surgeon, has extensive expertise in clinical medicine and integrated healthcare delivery system operations. He is an experienced leader, guiding teams through uncertain and complex situations with a strong focus on empathy, culture, quality, and innovation. Prior to joining NYP in 2023, he served for over 25 years in numerous leadership positions at Cleveland Clinic. As CEO of Cleveland Clinic London from 2018-2022, he led a team in pushing through historic challenges posed by the global COVID-19 pandemic. Together they developed and opened Cleveland Clinic's first hospital in Europe, a state-of-the art, 184-bed inpatient and ambulatory facility.
Previously Dr. Donley served as Cleveland Clinic's Chief of Clinical Enterprise, leading the team of 45,000 people responsible for all clinical operations throughout North America. Before that, he was President of Cleveland Clinic's Regional Hospitals and Family Health Centers. He also served as Vice Chair of its Department of Orthopedic Surgery, and is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons.
Dr. Donley attended the University of Notre Dame, graduating Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated with distinction from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Michigan. He also attended Harvard Business School, completing the Advanced Management Program.

Burak Malatyali is Senior Vice President, Enterprise Growth Strategy and Network Development at NewYork-Presbyterian. In this role, he oversees strategy and planning activities across the NYP enterprise and leads network and market growth efforts including ambulatory strategy and execution, business development, affiliations and partnerships with external providers and health systems. Prior to joining NYP in 2015, Mr. Malatyali served as Executive Director with J.P. Morgan's not-for-profit healthcare investment banking team exclusively focused on strategic advisory, merger and acquisitions services for academic medical centers and health systems across the country. He also spent eleven years at Johns Hopkins Medicine (JHM), most recently as the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President for JHM International, responsible for strategy and operations of JHM's international joint ventures, partnerships and operations across the globe and out-of-state and international patient services activities. He also served as a Director of System Development where he developed and executed strategies to grow JHM's hospital, ambulatory and physician network in Maryland, D.C. and Northern Virginia. Earlier in his career, he worked as a consultant with Accenture's Financial Services practice in Germany and as an investment banking analyst at Ata Invest in Istanbul, Turkey. Mr. Malatyali holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Morgan State University, and an undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems from Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey.

David M. Goldberg, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center. He works as an internist with ColumbiaDoctors, the faculty practice of Columbia University Medical Center, and sees patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Westchester. He graduated with honors from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine, as well as a fellowship in Infectious Diseases, at Columbia University Medical Center (then Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center). Dr. Goldberg has been a staple in the Scarsdale medical community for the more than 30 years. Juan Mejia, M.P.H., is Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of NYP Lower Manhattan Hospital. In this role, he manages day-to-day operations, oversees operating and capital budgets, and implements clinical strategy at NYP Lower Manhattan. Julia Iyasere, MD, is Senior Vice President for Health Justice and Equity at NYP, & Executive Director of the NewYork-Presbyterian Dalio Center for Health Justice. In this role, she helps shape NYP's commitment to health justice within all aspects of patient care. Dr. Iyasere also works in close collaboration with NYP's Chief Academic Officer to consider the advancement of health justice at every step in the design and implementation of NYP's care model.
Dr. Iyasere provides leadership, strategic vision and day-to-day management of the NYP Dalio Center's multifaceted efforts to address longstanding health disparities due to race, socio-economic differences, limited access to care, and other complex factors that disproportionately impact many communities that NYP serves. Established in 2020, the Dalio Center works collaboratively with representatives from NYP, Weill Cornell Medicine, and Columbia Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons to be a leader in the understanding and improving of health equity, and to drive action that results in measurable improvements in health outcomes for all.
Dr. Iyasere brings more than a decade of experience in medicine to her role. She was previously the Associate Chief Medical Officer for Service Lines and the Co-Director of the Care Team Office. She was also Director of the Leadership Education and Development for Physicians (LEAD) Academy, Associate Designated Institutional Official for Graduate Medical Education at NYPH, and Associate Program Director of the Columbia Internal Medicine Residency Training Program. An Assistant Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Dr. Iyasere continues to see patients as an internist in the Section for Hospital Medicine.

Karen Westervelt, M.H.C.D.S., is Group Senior Vice President, Strategic Initiatives and Chief of Regulatory Planning. In this role, she provides strategic and operational guidance relative to enterprise growth, planning efforts and oversees NYP Healthcare System's network development efforts and discussions with other provider organizations. She also leads NYP's enterprise-wide digital transformation initiative by working collaboratively with Weill Cornell Medicine and ColumbiaDoctors towards the goal of improving patient services by taking advantage of new strategic opportunities afforded by advances in digital technologies.
Ms. Westervelt is also responsible for overseeing NYP Global Services, which consists of Global Patient Services, Executive Health program and Corporate Health. These three programs provide access, care coordination and relationship management services for approximately 6000 international and domestic patients per year. Furthermore, Mrs. Westervelt oversees the Office of Regulatory Planning, which supports the entire NYP enterprise in the development, formulation, and implementation of plans for clinical, administrative and facility projects in accordance with established State and Federal policies and procedures.
During her tenure with NYP, Ms. Westervelt oversaw the acquisitions and administrative integrations of NYP's regional hospital network in Brooklyn, Queens and Westchester. Prior to joining NewYork-Presbyterian, Ms. Westervelt served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the William F. Ryan Community Health Network, comprising 17 primary care, behavioral health, and specialty care community health centers. She previously served as Deputy Commissioner of the Office of Primary Care and Health Systems Management in the New York State Department of Health, managing the regulation of New York State's health care system and implementation of federal and state health care system reform.

Miriam Maxian Rike is Senior Vice President of Finance at NewYork-Presbyterian. Paresh C. Shah, MD, FACS, is Group Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Division. In this role, he manages and directs daily operations, including the cost, quality, and delivery of services at NYP/Weill Cornell, while also overseeing operations at NYP Lower Manhattan.
Dr. Shah joined NYP in 2023 from NYU Langone Health where he served as Surgeon in Chief, Chair of the Health System Perioperative Services Management Committee, and Chief of the Division of General Surgery, as well as Professor of Surgery at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine.
Dr. Shah has an outstanding record of achievement and innovation in clinical surgery, with a focus on minimally invasive surgical approaches to GI cancers. He has held leadership roles at many professional societies including the American College of Surgeons (ACS), the Society of Surgery of the Alimentary Tract (SSAT), and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), and served on the White House Presidential Task Force on Healthcare IT.

Peter M. Fleischut, M.D., is Group Senior Vice President and Chief Information and Transformation Officer at NewYork-Presbyterian. He oversees the strategic vision and management of enterprise information technology, lab operations, pharmacy operations, innovation, data and analytics, artificial intelligence, telemedicine, and cybersecurity.
Dr. Fleischut has led the development of the Hospital's award-winning digital health services and the implementation of clinical operations at NewYork-Presbyterian David H. Koch Center, a world-class ambulatory care center. In his previous role as Senior Vice President and Chief Transformation Officer, he focused on creating a single electronic medical record across NewYork-Presbyterian and its affiliated medical schools, Weill Cornell Medicine and Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Fleischut also led efforts to standardize care across NYP's ten hospitals and hundreds of clinics and doctor practices, and oversaw all aspects of Graduate Medical Education (GME) for programs across the NYP enterprise.
Joining NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell in 2006, Dr. Fleischut previously served as Medical Director of Operating Rooms, Deputy Quality Patient Safety Officer, founding Director of the Center for Perioperative Outcomes, Vice Chairman, Chief Medical Information Officer, Chief Innovation Officer and Chief Medical Operating Officer.
In 2016, he became Vice Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology at Weill Cornell Medical College, where he is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology. Philip J. He also serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Gracie Square Hospital, a 136-bed provider of comprehensive and personalized mental health services located on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Dr. Wilner is also Executive Vice Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine. Rick Evans, MA, is Senior Vice President & Chief Experience Officer for NewYork-Presbyterian. Prior to joining NYP Ms. Kelly served as the Chief Advancement Officer at Robin Hood, New York City's largest poverty-fighting organization, where she oversaw the development, communications, events and marketing divisions. Under Sheila's leadership, Robin Hood raised a record $200 million in 2020, and launched an innovative $15 million Power Fund to invest in leaders of color-led organizations that address economic injustice.
Prior to joining Robin Hood, Sheila served for over 4 years as the Chief Development Officer at Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street, where she led efforts to expand philanthropic support for the organization's global social impact programs, and created new ways to connect the Workshop's programs with funding activities.
