The International Molybdenum Association (IMOA) was founded in 1989 and is registered under Belgian law as a non-profit trade association (ASBL) with scientific purposes. We currently represent around 90% of mine production and almost all conversion capacity outside China. We also represent some mining and conversion capacity within China... Our proactive market development program is designed to raise the profile of molybdenum and promote its applications in alloys amongst fabricators, engineers, designers and material specifiers. We host dedicated workshops and training events, provide technical consultancy, publish technical brochures, case studies and newsletters, and maintain a comprehensive, informative website. We work to communicate the positive role that molybdenum plays in many sustainable applications and we sponsor research to discover and develop new or expanded end uses.
