António Rodrigues is the CFO of iBET with the responsibility for the Shared Services Division, which includes the areas of Finance, Projects and Controlling, Information Technology and Administrative Services. He is graduated in Administration and Business Management by Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, Post Graduated in Business and Financial Controlling and Post Graduated in Tax and Accounting, both, by ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management. Chief Financial Officer with over 20 years of experience in Financial/Management positions and roles, in different business areas such as aviation, media, SSC and leisure travel, always reporting directly to Shareholders and / or Board of Directors. Large experience in fast-paced, but highly regulated businesses. Used to support multiple operations worldwide, with Portugal as base.
Barry Buckland has been the CEO of BiologicB LLC since 2009 and serves as a Technical Advisor at Hilleman Laboratories. He served as Head of BioProcess Development at the Protein Sciences Corporation. His career in the Pharma industry includes his leadership of Merck's bioprocess R&D Group. He is an experienced expert for the Development of Biologics with a special focus on vaccines and therapeutic proteins. Dr. Buckland was elected as Fellow in the UCL in 1998 and member of US National Academy of Engineering in 1997.

Chetan T. Goudar is a Vice President of Process Development at Amgen Inc. and leads the Attribute Sciences Function. His team generates attribute understanding across molecules in Amgen's diverse pipeline and develops methods to test and control the attributes enabling progression of molecules from Discovery Research through regulatory approval and ultimately to patients. In Chetan's prior roles at Amgen, his teams were engaged in developing drug substance processes across both synthetic and biologic modalities. Prior to joining Amgen in 2012, Chetan spent 13 years at Bayer HealthCare's Process Development group in Berkeley. He is a recipient of the ACS BIOT and the Biochemical Engineering Journal young investigator awards and earned a Ph.D. in Chemical & Biological Engineering with Professor Jamie Piret at the University of British Columbia.

Dr. Hitto Kaufmann is currently Senior Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer of Pieris Pharmaceuticals and Vice Chairman of the European Society of Animal Cell Technology. Dr. Kaufmann has over 20 years of experience in research, development and manufacturing of therapeutic biological entities. Prior to joining Pieris, Dr. Kaufmann held several executive positions at Sanofi and Boehringer Ingelheim. Dr. Kaufmann obtained his Ph.D. in Natural Science, at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich and a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from the Technical University of Braunschweig and The Scripps Research Institute.
Günter Jagschies collaborates with GE Healthcare Life Sciences for more than 30 years and has held senior management positions in Business and R&D functions. Günter is co-author of "Process Chromatography", and co-editor of "Development of Therapeutic Monoclonal Antibody Products", a review and analysis of the Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Control (CMC) activities. In 2012, Günter received the "Thought Leader of the Decade" award in the field of downstream processing from Bioprocessing International. He co-chaired the 2016 "Recovery of Biological Products" conference (RXVII), a key event in downstream science and technology, and he is co-chair of the "BioProcessing Asia" conference series (BPA) held for the third time in Nov 2018. John Aunins is the Executive Vice President of Bioprocess & Manufacturing and the Chief Technology Officer of Seres. He has more than 26 years of experience in the biotechnology industry, with a focus in bioprocess development, manufacturing support, and project leadership. Prior to joining Seres, he led process and product development teams at Merck Research Laboratories for Vaqta®, Varivax®, Zostavax®, ProQuad®, Rotateq®, and Gardasil®. The Vaqta and Gardasil process teams were awarded with ACS Industrial Biotechnology Awards for innovation, contribution to bioengineering, and societal impact. Dr Aunins is a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering and was recently awarded with D.I.C Wang Award for Excellence in Biochemical Engineering. He has authored over 50 articles and book chapters, and has chaired five international conferences in vaccines and bioprocess technology. Dr. Aunins earned his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from MIT, in 1989, under Professor Daniel I.C. Wang. Dr John Aunins is also visiting Professor at ITQB NOVA and member of iBET's Scientific Advisory Board.

José Brito Ribeiro has over 43 years of experience in people and team management. Brito Ribeiro is an expert in the optimization of organizational processes. Manuel Carrondo is Full Professor of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology at NOVA University of Lisbon (retired).
He has extensive management experience in the biotechnology sector and is iBET's vice-president for Business Development. His key areas of interest include (i) Animal Cell Technology and its application for human and animal health, (ii) therapeutic and diagnostic recombinant proteins, including fusion proteins, (iii) virus-like particles and pseudo viruses as vaccination agents and viruses (retro-, adeno-, lenti-) as deliverables for gene therapy, (iv) cell therapies and stem cells and (v) cGMP pilot plant scale-up and production development of biopharmaceuticals. Professor Manuel Carrondo has been Advisory Board Member of CEVEC Pharmaceuticals, PBS Biotech, CNIC (Spanish National Center for Cardiovascular Research Carlos III), Masthercells (Manufacturing Synergies for Therapeutic Cells), Alloksys Life Sciences BV, IBMT (Fraunhofer Institute for Biomedical Engineering), Max-Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems, Magdeburg, KGI-Keck Graduate Institute, Claremont, California and GenIbet Biopharmaceuticals, Portugal.

In 2021, he was distinguished with the Cell Culture Engineering Award by Engineering Conferences International (ECI), which recognized Manuel Carrondo's efforts to create and develop iBET and the field of cell culture engineering in Portugal, since 1989.
Manuel Carrondo is currently a SAB member of GeneCellNano Flagship Programme, Finland.

Paula M. Alves is the CEO of iBET and Professor at NOVA University of Lisbon. She received her Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering from NOVA and her B.S in Biochemistry from the University of Lisbon. Working in Animal Cell Technology since 1990, her research integrates cell metabolism understanding with biochemical engineering for the improvement of bioprocesses efficiency, also focusing on the development of new tools and technologies for pre-clinical research. Her key areas of interest include the production of biopharmaceuticals such as viral vectors and vaccines, and the development of 3D culture systems for expansion and differentiation of stem cells in bioreactors for cell therapy, regenerative medicine and in vitro toxicology applications.
Professor Paula Alves was elected member of the US National Academy of Engineering in 2021 and was the Chairperson of the ESACT (European Society for Animal Cell Technology) from 2017 to June 2022. Paula Alves is currently a Member of the International Advisory Committee of the Center for Research and Development of Immunobiologicals - CerDI (Instituto Butantan, Brasil) and SAB Member of IABS (International Alliance for Biological Standardization (IABS) Endowment Fund Committee, France and of Vibalogics, Germany. At the European Commission she was member of IMI and EURL-ECVAM Scientific Advisory Committee and of the Advisory Board of Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge. She has published over 280 papers, 32 book chapters and has supervised 38 PhD students, 18 post-docs and several master theses. In 2009 she received the Scientific Merit Award from NOVA University of Lisbon, in 2021 the Gold medal of Oeiras Town.
