Brad has been working on university networks for over 20 years. He began his career at Purdue University whe re he led the fi rst deployment of Wi-Fi throughout the West Lafayette campus. Next, he served as network integration manager at Ball State University, where he led the team providing global, end-to-end support of the school's technology infrastructure.
At I-Light, Brad manages over 30 educational broadband service radio licenses for Indiana Higher Education Telecommunication System (IHETS) as well as for universities/colleges in the state of Indiana. In addition, he also works with member schools on a variety of projects such as eduroam, an international Wi-Fi access roaming service.

Caroline has over 20 years of experience in network operations and has served in a variety of positions in leadership, management, and operations. Her role with I-Light and the Indiana GigaPOP is primarily responsible for member engagement, retention, services, and variety of other operations. In addition to her work with I-Light, she has been part of the GlobalNOC team for nearly 20 years and served in voluntary roles for the International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage, and Analysis (Supercomputing Conference) and The Quilt. She has a B.A. in liberal arts from Indiana University.
Caroline enjoys working with the I-Light members to reach their institutional goals by personally helping solve the problems that arise. She is very excited when a member has network or application goals that are achieved by the I-Light network. In her opinion, the success of I-Light members reflects the success of I-Light as a regional network as a whole.

For nearly 40 years, Dave Jent has worked at Indiana University in all aspects of network design, installation, project management, and strategy. This network background provides his foundation for leading senior technical staff and managing complex network engineering issues, and for maintaining critical relationships with the national research and education network community.
Jent oversees IU's Global Network Operations Center, IU Campus Networks, and the IU International Networking group and serves as executive director of I-Light and the Indiana GigaPOP. He has a B.S. in electrical engineering technology from Purdue University.

Marianne has more than 30 years of experience supporting members of the Indiana higher education community. Her group is responsible for daily operations and upgrades pertaining to the I-Light network.
In addition to Marianne's role with I-Light she also serves as director of operations for the Indiana University Global Network Operations Center (GlobalNOC).

Becky's primary roles are member support and provisioning. She particularly looks forward to building relationships with higher education institutions in Indiana and other regional networks throughout the country.
Becky started her career in Telecommunications in 1981 at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). She has held many positions throughout her decades-long career. She managed Telecommunication Consulting at IUPUI and then was Group Manager for Telecommunications for Indiana University. She managed special projects assigned by the Finance Officer Deputy CIO for University Information Technology Services. Becky was project manager for the 10 Year Network Master Plan for IU Bloomington and IUPUI and developed the Regional Network Master Plans.

Tom has more than 20 years of experience in networking, starting at IHETS in the mid-90's supporting the TDM based INDnet. He was instilled with a fierce work ethic and strong commitment to members. In 2007, Tom, along with other network engineers from IHETS, transitioned to GlobalNOC to support the newly formed I-Light network.
He quickly advanced to a senior engineering role. Tom has also worked on various other networks for GlobalNOC, including the IU Research Network and Internet2, returning to I-Light in 2016.
Today, as Chief Technology Officer for I-Light and the Indiana GigaPOP, he provides leadership for the I-Light and GigaPOP network engineering team. Tom also provides management, monitoring, and oversight for I-Light and the Indiana GigaPOP's optical network, directs the technical vision, and leads all aspects of I-Light and the GigaPOP's technical direction.
