Charles Rubenstein is a tenured professor at Pratt Institute's graduate School of Information and Library Science in Brooklyn, New York and has been a visiting professor of engineering in the Institute for Research and Technology Transfer (IRTT) at Farmingdale State College (SUNY) Farmingdale, New York. He has an earned doctorate in bioengineering (Polytechnic Institute of New York) and a master's in library and information science (Pratt Institute).

Professor Ching-Hsien (Robert) Hsu is presently a visiting scholar in department of computer science at Virginia Tech. He is a professor in department of computer science and information engineering at Chung Hua University, Taiwan; and distinguished chair professor in school of computer and communication engineering at Tianjin University of Technology, China. His research includes high performance computing, cloud computing, parallel and distributed systems, ubiquitous/pervasive computing and intelligence.

He was awarded 5 times annual outstanding research award through 2005 to 2012 and a distinguished award in 2008 for excellence in research from Chung Hua University. David Dorrell (M 95, SM 08) is a native of St Helens, UK, and has a BEng (Hons) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The University of Leeds (1988), MSc degree from The University of Bradford in Power Electronics Engineering (1989) and PhD degree from The University of Cambridge in Engineering (1993). He has held lecturing positions with The Robert Gordon University and The University of Reading. He was a Senior Lecturer with The University of Glasgow, UK, for several years. In 2008 he took up a post as Senior Lecturer with The University of Technology Sydney, Australia, and he was promoted to Associate Professor in 2009. Jane Lappin is the current chair of the Transportation Research Board ITS Committee. In July 2012, Ms. Lappin co-chaired a notable three-day TRB workshop on automated vehicles, and will co-sponsor a new TRB joint subcommittee on automated vehicles.
Ms. Lappin is a founding member and twice-elected past Chair of the ITS International Benefits, Evaluation, and Costs Working Group (IBEC), and has served on and chaired various PIARC and ITS America committees and task forces.
Ms. Lappin is a Program Manager and Social Scientist at the Volpe National Transportation Research Center, a research and development center of the USDOT Research and Innovative Technologies Administration (RITA). Her work is focused on measuring the impact of advanced transportation technologies on mobility, network performance, and consumer behavior.
Prior to joining the Volpe Center in 1992, Ms. Lappin worked for Abt Associates in its business strategy practice. She studied sociology as an undergraduate at Boston University and earned a Master's degree in business administration at Simmons College Graduate School of Management.

Lindsey Rafter, B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Montana Tech of the University of Montana December 2011. Background was in mining up until she moved to Las Vegas in May of 2012 and joined MWH. She currently mostly works on water/wastewater projects in the Las Vegas area and around the world. She joined IEEE this past summer to meet fellow engineers in the industry and volunteer her time on the executive committee. He was Telecom Analyst at Boeing Computer Services responsible for technical planning. Mr. Dukes held management and technical positions with GTE (Verizon) network engineering and planning.

Tom Coughlin, President, Coughlin Associates is a widely respected storage analyst and consultant. He has over 30 years in the data storage industry with multiple engineering and management positions at high profile companies.

Walid G. Aref is a professor of computer science at Purdue. His research interests are in extending the functionality of database systems in support of emerging applications, e.g., spatial, spatio-temporal, multimedia, biological, and sensor databases. Professor Aref's research has been supported by the National Science Foundation, the National Institute of Health, Purdue Research Foundation, CERIAS, Panasonic, and Microsoft Corp. In 2001, he received the CAREER Award from the National Science Foundation and in 2004, he received a Purdue University Faculty Scholar award.
