IBPSA-India is an affiliate of International Building Performance Simulation Association, a non-profit international society of building performance simulation researchers, developers and practitioners, dedicated to improving the built environment. IBPSA-India is founded and registered in the year 2017 with an aim of spreading the education of building simulation across academia and industry. India as a country has progressed to reach a level where building codes and energy codes are known to most practicing architects and consultants. The government has also taken cognizance of energy efficiency in buildings as an important aspect in nation building and has demonstrated commitment to implement policy framework. The practicing fraternity of building architects and engineers, felt the need of bridging the gap between research organizations, industry and the government in the vast area of simulation.
