Abderahmane has more than 20 years of professional experience including 16 years in Private Equity and emerging markets. Before joining the team in June 2019, he held senior business development and investment roles in various institutions, including the Emirates Investment Authority (EIA) and the Abu Dhabi Investment Council (ADIC). He also served as an investment officer within the International Finance Corporation (IFC), World Bank Group, where he handled the execution of equity and debt transactions across emerging markets. Prior to that, he was a Management Consultant for AT Kearney after working for Societe Generale as an analyst in commodity financing in Mexico City.
Abderahmane graduated from Ecole Centrale Paris and holds an MBA from INSEAD business school

Giovanni joined idi EM in January 2022 as a Chief of Legal, Risk and Compliance and he is a member of the senior management committee as a Conducting Officer in charge, among others, of the risk management and compliance functions.
He has more than 10 years of experience with a continuous exposure to the financial and investment fund industry and to the regulated management companies with strategies focusing on Private Equity, Fund of Funds and Real Estate. Giovanni is a member of the ALCO (Association Luxembourgeoise des Compliance Officers) and hold a Master Degree in Financial Management.

- Senior Geopolitical Advisor
After a BA in History and being a student at the French Institute of Political studies ("SciencesPo"), Mr Hubert Védrine graduated from the French National School of public administration ("ENA") and joined the Ministry of Culture and the Foreign Affairs.
Mr Védrine served successively as a diplomatic advisor, spokesman and Secretary-General under the presidency of François Mitterrand, from 1981 to 1995. He became Minister of Foreign Affairs in the government of the Prime Minister Lionel Jospin under the presidency of Jacques Chirac, from 1997 to 2002.
In 2003, Hubert Védrine founded "Hubert Védrine Conseil", a consulting firm specialized in foreign, economic and geopolitical affairs. Mr Védrine produced many reports to successive French governments and published numerous books and atlas on geopolitics and politics. He has chaired the François Mitterrand Institute since 2003 has been appointed as an independent director of the LVMH group since 2004.
He has been advising idi EM since 2014.

Julien is a co-founder and a managing partner of idi EM. He holds numerous seats in funds governance bodies as well as in portfolio companies boards. Previously, he spent two years in Agence Française de Développement (AFD, Proparco), the French government arm dedicated to the financing of emerging and developing countries, contributing to its development of both direct and indirect private equity investments. Prior to that, he spent 5 years as an investment director at Cognetas, formerly known as Electra Partners Europe, a pan-European fund specialized in LBO. Before that, Julien spent 6 years at Arthur Andersen in Paris with a focus on the mergers and acquisitions. Julien holds a post-graduate diploma from the London School of Economics in the UK, and is a graduate from Edhec Business School in Lille, France.
Joined idi EM Partners in 2008, Karine is the office manager (accounting, banks, HR and facilities management) of the Luxembourg office. She began her career with two years with European Institutions in Luxembourg and then joined for a 12-year period a leading content / document company where she developed an expertise in data management and HR. She holds a vocational diploma ("BTS") in Administration & Accounting.
Nelda is the Chief financial officer and is a member of the senior management committee as a Conducting Officer in charge, among others, of the accounting, finance, and taxof the different entities of the group.She initially joined idi EM Partners in 2019as thefinancial controller, responsible of accounting, reporting and audit of the different entities of the group.
Nelda has more than 10 years experience inauditnamely in big four companies(PwC, Deloitte), both in Luxembourg and Mauritius. She has been in charge of audit ofReal estate and private equity funds, along with regulated and unregulated vehicles. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Accounting with finance from University of Mauritius (2008)and is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the global body for professional accountants.
Peter is a co-founder and a partner of idi EM. He holds numerous seats in funds governance bodies. Previously, he spent 3 years in idi Group responsible for monitoring its emerging market portfolios and 3 years in AXA Group where he launched the first FCPI VC fund focused on new technologies. Peter is also a serial entrepreneur where he has co-founded a high-performance computing start-up as well as a strategic acquisition advisory firm after he began his career in strategy consulting with Corporate Value Associates. Peter is a graduate from École Normale Supérieure and an Associate Professor ("agrégé") in Mathematics. He also holds a PhD in Computer Science, an MSc in Physics and an MBA from the Collège des Ingénieurs in Paris.

Stéphanie In Deputy Compliance Officer Joined idi EM Partners in 2016, Stéphanie is the Deputy Compliance Officer of idi EM Partners and she works closely with the Conducting Officers in charge of the AML, Compliance and IT functions. She has now nearly 10 years of experience in the financial industry in Luxembourg by joining first EY as Executive Assistant (‘'EA'') in 2013 and then idi EM Partners as an EA first where she gains expertise in the framework of a regulated entity to become the Deputy Compliance Officer of the company. She holds a vocational diploma ("BTS") in Management Assistant.

Varun is a Director with idi Emerging Markets, based out of Paris. He oversees investments in funds and companies across India, China, Latin America, Africa, South East Asia, and the Middle East. Previously, he was an advisor with Newfund, a French Venture Capital firm backing seed-stage start-ups across Europe. Prior to that, he co-founded and served as an Executive Director at August Robotics, a Hong Kong / Shenzhen based robotics company that builds autonomous robots. Before that, he worked with India Alternatives, an India-focused Private Equity Fund, and Avendus Capital, an Investment Bank where he specialized in transactions across Technology, Media, and Telecom.
Varun is a Rhodes Scholar from Oxford University, where he received a Masters in Financial Economics from the Said Business School and a Masters in Computer Science. He is also an international swimmer and has participated in the World Championships, Afro Asian Games and Asian Games.

Joined idi EM Partners in 2011, Yann is a director in charge of the business coverage in China and South East Asia. During his first years at idi EM Partners, he was working on investments execution and monitoring on global basis. Previously, he spent 3 years as an auditor then as a consultant at Ernst & Young in Luxembourg mainly focused on Private Equity projects of the Transaction Financial Engineering department. Prior to that, he was a trainee analyst at Access Capital Partners, a private equity fund of funds. Yann has a Master degree in Management which is accredited AACSB & EQUIS from ESCEM Business School in France.
