IES is an institute for studying the environmental and human safety of radiation and radionuclides... 　The IES aims to contribute to understanding safety and risk associated with the use of nuclear energy through studies on the behavior radioactive nuclides in the environment as well as human body, and also through examinations on the health effects of long-term low-dose-rate irradiation. We also participate in supporting the activities for public understanding of radiation effects and the training of human resources in the nuclear industries and their related organizations... Through spreading the knowledge obtained from the research to the public, we aim to promote scientific understanding on radiation safety for the environment & human health.
