Tiffany Segura

Tiffany graduated from UL Lafayette with a bachelors of science in Middle School Education. While attending UL she was also a member of AmeriCorps, completing over 900 hours of community service during her senior year. Upon graduating, Tiff decided to continue her endeavors with AmeriCoprs and joined AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps. She served for 11 months as a team leader at the Southern Region campus in Vicksburg, MS leading and directing a diverse team of ten adults in a full-time community service program that meets critical needs across eleven states to improve education, conservation, environment, infrastructure, and disaster relief, including responding to Hurricane Sandy. She was awarded Team Leader of the Year and has continued to help with the training of new team leaders. Tiff's passion for community service eventually led her back to UL Lafayette and home, accepting the position of Assistant Director of UL Lafayette AmeriCorps, where her career in service first began.

Vanessa Lasala

As the Director of UL Lafayette AmeriCorps, Vanessa works closely with University and community leaders to ensure sustainable relationships through volunteering and service. Maintaining partnerships with Lafayette Habitat for Humanity, Lafayette Parish School System, and working closely with the Dean of Community Service to provide service to our great community. Vanessa has been actively involved with The Big Event, The Cinderella Project, and currently teaches the Service & Leadership LLC course at UL Lafayette. She is a board member with the Bayou Vermilion Preservation Association and a member of the Leadership Lafayette XXXIII class. Vanessa earned her bachelor degree in Psychology and a master's in Criminal Justice at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
