Kip Hamilton is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the states of Arizona and Pennsylvania. He has 40 years of experience assisting counsel and clients in the resolution of complex financial disputes. Kip has served as an auditor, expert witness, consultant and arbitrator in matters relating to economic damages, fraud investigations, due diligence, internal investigations and forensic accounting. Mr. Hamilton has particular experience in the real estate and construction industries where he has assisted owners, contractors, subcontractors, developers, lenders, sureties and governmental agencies resolve disputes. Kip has developed strategies, performed cost audits and evaluated damages arising from project delay and disruption, financing issues, bankruptcy, accidents, fraud and troubled projects. Mr. Luan has held key roles on a significant number of major/mega projects and has an excellent understanding of major/mega project challenges in international locations based on his involvement with assignments in Europe, the North Sea, the Middle East, Latin America, Eurasia, and Asia Pacific. He has conducted project audits on multiple mega projects, participated in numerous cost and schedule risk analysis assessments of international major projects, and facilitated mitigation of these risks.

Philip Barnard, Interface Consulting senior advisor, is a 40-year veteran of the construction industry. As the former Assistant Director of Public Works for the City of Houston, his background includes multimillion-dollar construction projects, heavy civil and bridge construction, and project management for facilities and municipal projects. Mr. Barnard specializes in claims analyses, damage assessments, dispute resolutions, and schedule analyses and provides comprehensive litigation support as a construction management and expert witness.

Sam Barakat, a managing director for Interface Consulting, is a seasoned engineer, expert, arbitrator, and attorney with over 25 years of engineering, construction, and legal experience around the world. He has successfully managed contracts and claims for international construction projects and possesses a broad technical and commercial background, having worked on a wide range of projects involving owners, contractors, subcontractors, and various governmental entities. Mr. Barakat has been appointed as an expert witness in several high-profile arbitrations and serves as both a third-party neutral in construction disputes and a member of the AAA construction arbitrator panel.

Tapan Patni has over 25 years of experience as an engineer, project manager, and consultant in the petrochemical, midstream, and power and energy industries, including 20 years with a leading full-service EPC company. His expertise includes feasibility assessment, project design, cost estimating, scheduling, and constructability analysis, and he has managed EPC projects with lump-sum contracts up to $1.5B in value. Mr. Patni leverages his deep technical and technological skillset as well as his demonstrated success in project execution to provide unique insight into construction claims and disputes occurring across the project lifecycle.
Expert Witness Statement was prepared and submitted. Testimony was proffered at arbitration. Case was heard by the International Centre for Dispute Resolution department of the American Arbitration Association and settled successfully for the plaintiff.
