Group analysis is an established method of psychotherapy and research. It is based on the observation that the group addresses relevant issues for its members and can achieve deep and lasting changes in their lives. The beginner of group analysis was S.H. Foulkes. Its theoretical background is psychoanalysis, and it is also informed in other fields of research (e.g. sociology, systems theory)... Besides being a psychotherapeutic method that improves the quality of life, group analysis is applicable in education, training, organisational consultancy, or wherever the knowledge of group processes and the skills to address them are needed or useful.
