Ana Hunsinger, Vice President, Community Engagement at Internet2, has executive management responsibilities for Internet2's membership and engagement programs to support Internet2's higher education, affiliates and industry members. She also oversees research engagement and international engagement as well as community events and communications. Ana and her staff work closely with Internet2 staff in other areas to support programmatic goals and recurring proactive interaction with the Internet2 member community. As part of community engagement, Ana also leads efforts within Internet2 and the broader R&E community to increase diversity and inclusivity and more meaningful participation of women in IT.
Previously, Ana served as Director of Regional and State Network Relations and from also managed FiberCo, a project funded by Internet2 for providing the means for acquiring, holding and assigning fiber optic assets in support of the Internet2 community. At the beginning of her career at Internet2, Ana also was program manager of Internet2's international program and relationships. She has been active in the Internet2 community since 1998 and prior to joining Internet2, Ana worked at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Ana resides in Denver, Colorado. She has a BS in Computer Science and BAs in both Film Studies and Philosophy as well as a Master Degree in Philosophy, all from the University of Kansas.
Belinda E. Nixon - Chief Legal Officer, Secretary, VP

Belinda E. Nixon is the vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary. Belinda is on the Internet2 executive leadership team and is responsible for the strategic direction of all legal services and government relations.
Belinda is an accomplished lawyer and leader with a broad and deep background in technology, compliance, legal services, and regulatory issues. She has over 20 years of experience practicing communications law and policy at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and in private practice.
Most recently, Belinda was a partner in the Technology Transactions and Privacy Group at Perkins Coie, serving as a trusted legal advisor to telecommunications and technology companies from start-ups to the Fortune 100, and public and nonprofit organizations. Before that, she was a deputy division chief in the FCC's Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (WTB), providing strategic guidance on wireless telecommunications infrastructure policy, including 5G and broadband deployment, to FCC Commissioners and other leaders.
Now as vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary at Internet2, Belinda serves as the top legal officer for Internet2 the non-profit organization, leading all corporate compliance matters, regulatory issues, contracting, and legal strategies to support business initiatives, risk mitigation, and governance matters. She also leads Internet2's government relations strategy, including public policy, advocacy, and proactive monitoring of federal legislation that impacts the research and education community.
Belinda earned a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Stanford University.

The Executive Committee may exercise many of the powers of the Board of Trustees when the Board is not in session and consists of the Chairperson of the Board, the Vice Chairperson of the Board, the Chairperson of the Audit and Finance Committee, Internet2's President and CEO, and two to four additional Trustees.
Howard Pfeffer is President and CEO of Internet2, a not-for-profit organization providing a secure national high-speed network, cloud solutions, research support, and services tailored for the research and education community serving higher education, research institutions, government entities, and cultural organizations.
Pfeffer is a technology executive with over 30 years of experience in networking, systems and software engineering and is known for helping to pioneer the development of Broadband Internet, Voice over IP, Community Wi-Fi, and Business Services in the cable industry. Prior to joining Internet2, Pfeffer served as Senior Vice President of the Broadband Technology Group at Time Warner Cable. In that role, he led the architecture, engineering, and development of the telecommunications infrastructure for Residential and Business Services.
Pfeffer earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

James E. Deaton is the vice president of Network Services. James leads the strategic direction and ongoing operations of Internet2's world-class network infrastructure and advanced services in support of research, education, and global collaboration.
James is a seasoned leader in the research and education community with nearly 30 years of experience driving strategic cyberinfrastructure initiatives across state, regional, and national networks. His service to the community includes being a former board chair for The Quilt; chair of Internet2's Network Architecture, Operations, and Policy Program Advisory Group; member of the Campus Research Computing Consortium (CaRCC); and member of multiple advisory groups and committees focused on advancing cyberinfrastructure and cultivating community expertise.
James has a track record for supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the community, including establishing a regional chapter of Women in High Performance Computing (WHPC) associated with the Great Plains CyberTeam, facilitating research and infrastructure advancements in support of minority serving institutions in Oklahoma, and numerous grants and engagements focused on small and underrepresented higher education institutions.
Most recently, James was the executive director of the Great Plains Network (GPN), a non-profit consortium focused on aggregating networks and advocating for research on behalf of universities and communities across the Midwest and Great Plains. There he established successful multistate collaborations and secured millions of dollars in external funding to address the network and research computing needs of the region. Prior to that, he served as the chief technology officer for OneNet, Oklahoma's research and education network, where he led the implementation of a highly scalable infrastructure serving research, higher education, K-12 schools, hospitals, libraries, and government, and secured millions of dollars in grant funding to expand its capabilities.

Jeffrey G. Evans is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Treasurer of Internet2, a 501(c)3 organization. Internet2 is the foremost U.S. advanced networking consortium.
As CFO, Jeffrey is responsible for developing financial strategies to facilitate the operation of Internet2. Serving as the treasurer for the Internet2 Board of Trustees, Jeffrey is also responsible for overseeing the financial resources for domestic and global activities.
Jeffrey comes to Internet2 with experience the chief financial officer with various organizations, most recently with the Columbus Regional Airport Authority (CRAA). In his role as CFO and Treasurer, he was responsible for budgeting, accounting practices, cash management, investments, and revenue generation in parking and ground transportation.
Prior to joining CRAA, Evans held financial and executive leadership roles as CFO of the Detroit Zoological Society, Stout Risius Ross, PMA Consultants and Smith Group Companies. In addition to finance, Evans has led functional areas of human resources, information technology, marketing, and facilities.
Evans is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) in Michigan and has been involved in several professional organizations including as an officer for Finance Executive International in Detroit.
Evans has completed the University of Michigan's Executive Education, Strategic Human Resource Planning course and has earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Tuskegee University and a Master of Business Administration in finance from Wayne State University.

Kevin M. Morooney is Internet2 vice president of trust and identity and NET+ programs. Scholar-focused trans-organizational trust, identity and global federation has become of vital importance to the mission and work of the Internet2 community and across the broader research and education landscape. Morooney leads the development of effective long-term trust and identity strategies as well as the design and delivery of Trust and Identity in Education and Research (TIER) program components. Morooney was deeply involved with other community members in the development of both InCommon and TIER.
