Andy Robichaud

Andy Robichaud is an Operations Manager with the Ethernet Technologies group at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL). He joined the UNH-IOL in September 2022, bringing his past experiences as a project manager and customer facing IT services provider. As a Certified Scrum Master, he looks for ways to improve existing processes and procedures using Agile methodologies. Drawing upon his Sandler training, he is focused on building and maintaining strong relationships with our vendors. Andy is a 1998 graduate of UNH with a Bachelor of Science in Water Resource Management.

Ben Patton

Ben Patton is the Operations Manager for the IPv6 testing service group at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL). Ben started at the IOL as a high school summer intern in 2014 with the Digital Living Consortium. After starting his undergraduate degree at UNH, Ben moved to the Home Networking Consortium where he worked to test home gateways for TR-069 and later worked to develop automation for several of the IP area's test services. Since completing his B.S. in Information Technology in December of 2020, Ben has taken on the role of Scrum Master for the IPv6 testing team, and continues to assist with new and existing home networking test services.

Bob Noseworthy

Bob Noseworthy is a Chief Engineer at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL). In this role, he advises on and leads various technical development activities within the UNH-IOL's Testing Services. Bob manages TSN-related Testing Services at UNH-IOL including; the Avnu Alliance's Certification, Automotive Networking, Industrial Networking, Pro AV Networking, and IEEE 1588/PTP Test Services. He is also closely involved with test development for C37.238 (1588 Power Profile), the continued evolution of 802.1's Time Sensitive Networking standards (formerly Audio/Video Bridging), as well as continuously evolving areas such as OpenFabrics Alliance logo program, and Ethernet Fabrics. His areas of expertise include aligning lab services with current industry trends, business development, test tool development and physical signal encoding.

Carter Snay

Carter Snay is a Technical Manager for the Datacenter Technologies testing service, who assists in managing the testing efforts across the different Datacenter Technologies tested at the IOL, primarily NVMe-PCIe and NVMe-oF. Carter started as a Computer Science freshman at UNH in Fall 2016 and switched to Environmental Science in Spring 2017. Having been introduced to the UNH-IOL as a CS student, he started working in mid semester 2017 as a non-traditional major in the iSCSI testing service. Then moving to the NVMe testing service after 4 months, where he stayed for the remainder of his undergraduate tenure, moving into a primary student testing role during this time. In October 2020, Carter started as a Technical Manager to further assist testing full time, as well as work on maintaining test bed equipment and assisting with hands-on work that needs to be completed in the lab.

Christopher Brown

Christopher Brown is the Technical Manager for the Routing and Software Defined Networking (SDN) Testing Service group. Chris started his career at the UNH-IOL in 2015 as a routing test technician performing USGv6 testing for OSPFv3 and BGP4+ protocols while he was an undergraduate. After graduating with a B.S. in Information Technology he was promoted to his current position as a Technical Manager. Before pursuing his degree, Chris served in the United States Marine Corps as a Satellite Communications Operator from 2009-2013. While in the Marines, Chris was responsible for transmitting and receiving data for military and commercial networks and training Marines on how to deploy these services for the future success of missions. He also participated in various humanitarian missions in the Asia-Pacific providing rapid communication services. During his time in the Marines Chris began to take great interest in computer networking which encouraged him to pursue higher education. Chris has extensive knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, PIM-SM, and ISIS. Using this knowledge he has developed test solutions for conformance testing that utilizes the IOL's custom software, IOL INTACT®. Chris is developing testing solutions for SDN including working with OpenFlow and NetCONF protocols.

Craig Chabot

Craig Chabot is the Manager of the Wireless and Power over Ethernet (PoE) Testing Services Groups at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL). As and undergrad at UNH, Craig began work at the UNH-IOL in 2008 in the Wireless Group where he gained knowledge in computer networking, testing methodologies and the IEEE 802.11 standard.

David Weingart

David Weingart is the Web Development Manager for the UNH-IOL and in this role he is responsible for all websites and web applications developed by the lab. David graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1995 with a BA in English and then taught himself web programming and database design while working as a research assistant at Cornell University. After returning to New Hampshire in 1999, David worked for a full-service web agency and then in 2003 became the senior in-house web developer for a company in the financial services industry. His most recent experience prior to joining the UNH-IOL in 2013 was as a Business Systems Analyst for Liberty Mutual Insurance where he managed a team of testers for the initial release of a property insurance web application.

Hannah Dukeman

Hannah Dukeman is the Operations Manager for the Routing testing service group at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL). As an undergraduate at UNH, Hannah started her career at the UNH-IOL in 2017 as an IPv6 test technician. After four months, she was moved to the routing team and became certified in BGP4+ and OSPFv3 protocols. Hannah excelled in routing testing and was promoted to Routing scrum master. Her responsibilities included reviewing routing testing, clearing roadblocks, training test technicians, and keeping the team on track. In 2020, Hannah graduated with a B.S. in Information Technology. Shortly after, she was promoted to her current position as Operations Manager, where she is responsible for her scrum master tasks and managing the operations of Routing testing.

James Kahn

James Kahn is a Technical Manager for the Datacenter Technologies testing service, who assists in managing the software development efforts across the different Datacenter Technologies tested at the IOL, primarily NVMe-PCIe and NVMe-oF. James started as an intern at the IOL during his senior year of highschool. Upon highschool graduation James started his Computer Science degree at UNH in the Fall 2017. In the Fall of 2017 James started in the Fibre Channel testing service, where he became the primary student tester for Fibre Channel technologies before moving to the NVMe testing service in 2019. After obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer science in 2021, James began his role as a Technical Manager to further assist development full time, as well as continuing his education by pursuing a MBA at UNH.

Jason Sisk

Jason Sisk is the Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) Technical Manager and Test Engineer at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL). He graduated with his Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering in 2018 from UNH and is currently finishing up his Master's of Science from UNH. His experience is in test design, control systems, simulation and implementation for electrical and optical communication technologies. In this role, he helps advise on and work on technical development activities within the UNH-IOL's Physical Layer Testing Services. Jason works directly in SPE Services at UNH-IOL including; Automotive Ethernet and Industrial Ethernet. He is now actively involved with the IEEE and OPEN Alliance working groups for the above technologies as well as their test plan development and validation. Besides SPE services he has a background in testing Storage technologies, Ethernet technologies and is familiar with a wide scope of Test and Measurement Equipment.

Jeff Lapak

Jeff Lapak has been the Director of the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL) since 2018 where he leads the globally recognized 3rd party test lab for certification of data communication technologies. The UNH-IOL has been a part of the university for 30+ years and is in the UNH's research office. The lab employs over 20 staff and 100 undergraduate and graduate students who contribute to over 30 different technology standards and groups . As Director, Jeff is responsible for facilitating the lab's development in certification test programs, creating strategic partnerships and leading the lab's strategic direction across its many technology areas. He brings 15+ years of industry and lab experience to fulfill the mission of the UNH-IOL and also works with multiple global industry forums and standards bodies to further their standards development. Jeff has been involved in the development of software applications, test platform hardware, as well as the development of new testing methodologies and procedures. Jeff's journey at the IOL began as a UNH student in 1998 and quickly grew into roles such as senior manager, industry lead, and most recently, associate director. As a leader, he's helped oversee development for many physical layer testing technologies, specializing in the development and testing of high speed electrical measurements for physical devices and copper cables. His development areas have included technologies such as: 10, 25, 40, and 100 Gigabit Ethernet, Infiniband, twisted pair Auto-Negotiation, Backplane and Cable Characterization, Physical Coding Sublayers, and FPGA hardware platforms.

Justin Nelson

Justin Nelson is an Operations Manager of Broadband Technologies at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL). As an undergraduate student at Southern New Hampshire University, Justin began work at the UNH-IOL in 2018. He began in the DSL Consortium performing DSL and Gfast testing and developing the IOL's test automation software, Test Sentinel. As he gained more experience, he began learning new technologies and adopting new responsibilities including developing a new UNH-IOL interoperability test plan for GPON and XGS-PON technologies. After obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in 2020, Justin began his role as an Operations Manager in the Broadband Industry group at the UNH-IOL while continuing to assist in the management of the DSL and PON groups.

Kathryn (Kae) Dube

Kathryn Dube is the Ethernets Operations Manager for the Ethernets Technologies Consortium at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL) in Durham, NH. Kathryn was promoted to this position in November 2013 after joining the UNH-IOL in 2010 as an undergraduate student. Her responsibilities in her position require her to balance managing the operations of Ethernet testing while training testing technicians and planning for future services. Previously, Kathryn was the Senior Copper Auto-negotiation Technician and Supervisor coordinating the ANEG testing, training new technicians and performing customer testing. She was also a member of the Society of Women Engineers and the American Chemical Society. Kathryn was awarded the IOL Star Award in August of 2011 for her outstanding achievements in her work at the UNH-IOL. Kathryn received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of New Hampshire in 2014.

Kerry Munson

Kerry Munson is the Operations Manager, Data Center Technologies at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL). After obtaining an Associates Degree from NHTI, Kerry joined the UNH-IOL in 2009 as the UNH-IOL Office Assistant having the privilege of being the first contact with visitors to our facility. In 2012, Kerry moved into the role as Operations Manager where she worked while pursuing her B.A. in Communication until graduating in 2017 from UNH. Since graduating in 2017, Kerry's focus has expanded to include more Business Development and Customer Relations opportunities. Secondary roles include coordinating test reservations for customers, managing the student agile teams in NVMe over Fabrics, Ethernet Switching Protocols, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, Open Networking, and NVMe, and coordinating Plugfest events. Kerry served as co-chair for the UNH-IOL training working group for 5 years where she oversaw the training of all new staff. Today she continues to support the training efforts of students hired into the Datacenter Technologies.

Kyle Ouellette

Kyle Ouellette is the Project Manager, IP Technologies at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL). As an undergraduate student at UNH, Kyle began working at the UNH-IOL in 2015 in the IPv6 Testing Service. During this time he became a developer of the IOL's IPv6 testing solution, IOL INTACT®, and worked on the development of IPv6 Ready Logo Core and DHCPv6 testing. After obtaining his B.S. in Computer Science, Kyle continues to pursue his M.S. in Computer Science at UNH. In May 2018 Kyle took over as the principal developer of IOL INTACT®, overseeing student developers and working directly with customers on solutions.

Lincoln Lavoie

Lincoln Lavoie is a principal engineer at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL). In this role, he is responsible for the technical management of the broadband access technology grounds, including NFV, WiFI, DSL, Gfast, GPON, and PoE. In addition to his duties with the UNH-IOL, Lincoln participates in many industry organizations, including the Broadband Forum (BBF) and OPNFV. Lincoln currently holds leadership / editor roles within the BBF and contributor / committer roles within OPNFV. Most recently, Lincoln led the team responsible for the OPNFV LaaS project, launched with the OPNFV Fraser release in April 2018, providing open source developers access to hardware resources to support their projects. In 2017, Lincoln worked with the Broadband Forum to develop and launch the Gfast certification program, announcing 30+ device pairs certified in 2017. He is also responsible for help to develop the Open Broadband Labs program, supporting the BBF Cloud CO projects. In 2009, Lincoln helped to create the UNH-IOL GPON Consortium, working directly with the BBF to develop testing to further any-to-any interoperability within the GPON industry. In 2012, the UNH-IOL and BBF launched the industry's first TR-069 certification program. With ongoing special interest areas that include digital signal processing, Linux, embedded system programming, and hardware/software systems integration, Lincoln has a diverse and varied background in technologies and trends of interest to the UNH-IOL's member companies. He began at the UNH-IOL in 2000 as an undergraduate in the electrical engineering program at University of New Hampshire. His first role was with the Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) Consortium. Since then, Lincoln has maintained a consistent involvement with emerging technologies and standards from DSL, through ADSL, ADSL2/2plus, and most recently, Very-high-bitrate Digital Subscriber Line (VDSL2). His extensive knowledge in this area has evolved from the development of test plans and custom testing tools, to more recently, technical management and strategic planning. Lincoln received his Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, in electrical engineering from the University of New Hampshire in 2003 and received a Master of Science in the same discipline in 2008. Lincoln's hobbies include fly fishing and building various electronic projects, including tube audio amplifiers and home automation systems.

Mara Johnson

Mara is the Communications and Brand Manager at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL) and began working here in Sept. 2015. Her role is to oversee all the internal and external communications for the lab. That includes all things digital and print while encompassing the overall IOL strategic objectives and driving branding and awareness efforts. Mara is also responsible for recruiting new student employees to help fill the pipeline of future engineers. As the event liaison for the lab, she also coordinates both industry, student, and internal events. Recently, she enhanced her passion with events by becoming a Certified Event Planner (CEP). In addition, Mara coordinates the annual summer high school internship, HighTech Bound, where students from across the country work in the lab on a summer long project.

Matt Coppola

Matt graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. Matt has previous experience designing, marketing, and selling power distribution systems. Through collaboration with design firms and contractors, he has been involved in the construction and renovation of hundreds of properties in the New England area. Michayla Newcombe

Michayla Newcombe is the Senior Manager, IP Technologies at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL). Michayla started her career at the UNH-IOL in 2012 as a DHCPv6 test technician while she was an undergraduate at UNH. This DHCPv6 testing is performed for both USGv6 and IPv6 Ready Logo. She is also a reviewer of the IPv6 Ready Logo submissions in North America. After graduating from UNH in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration she was promoted to a staff position. Her responsibilities include driving the United States Government (USGv6) and IPv6 Ready Logo Programs for the continued deployment of IPv6. She oversees various aspects in the testing progress including creating SDOCs, delivering results and helping members navigate both of the programs. She is currently serving as the quality manager for ISO-17025 accreditation for the testing programs. Michayla is an author of the NISTv6 Profile (SP 500-267Ar1). Michayla was integral in developing and leading the lab's recent switch to Agile Methodologies. She leads several agile teams with future engineers helping them deliver solutions for SDN, Routing, IoT and IPv6 solutions. Michayla was recently appointed as the Associate Director whose responsibilities will expand to assisting in the general oversight of testing groups, working with industry forums and standards bodies to further standards development and providing day-to-day lab support for staff and student employees.
