Admiral Mike Mullen served as the 17th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (2007) and was the principal military advisor to President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama.

As Executive Vice President and General Counsel, Bruce Adams manages IQT legal affairs. Prior to joining IQT, Mr. Adams was a partner at the law firm of Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer. Mr. Adams received his JD (Magna Cum Laude) from Boston University and received his BA (Honors) from Swarthmore College.
Chris Darby served as CEO of IQT from September 2006 - September 2023. Darby was previously Vice President and General Manager at Intel, where he oversaw the Middleware Products Division. At Intel, Darby had responsibility for the corporation's Infrastructure Software business, including open source and commercial products. He joined Intel in August 2005 with the acquisition of Sarvega, a venture-backed supplier of XML networking and security products, where Darby served as President and CEO.
Dr. Jennifer Nelson's career at IQT spans nearly 15 years and various functions that empower her with vast and deep understanding of the company and the mission it serves. She currently serves as Executive Vice President, International where she directs IQT's overseas investment activities as well as the expansion of IQT's global footprint. Previously, Dr. Nelson held the position of Chief of Staff for IQT, working to align priorities across the leadership team and develop and implement business strategies designed to execute on the vision of the organization. Prior to that, she was Senior Vice President of Portfolio Success, overseeing technology transfer from IQT's Portfolio to the Intelligence Community. Dr. Nelson spent five years managing the partnership with the Central Intelligence Agency ensuring strategic alignment and execution for their mission needs. She began her career at IQT as a program manager handling security investments for IQT.
Prior to joining IQT in 2009, she worked at IBM Corporation where she supported the public sector with technology strategy development. Dr. Nelson holds bachelor's degrees in both Finance and Management as well as a Master of Business Administration from Virginia Polytechnic and State University, and a doctoral degree from Vanderbilt University.

Dr. Megan Anderson is the Executive Vice President, Capabilities at IQT. In this role she oversees the technology practices, the program management team, and the project engineering teams in their delivery of strategic technical solutions to the Intelligence Community. Previously, Dr. Anderson led the Enterprise Technology Practice that was responsible for identifying and executing investments across a wide range of technologies including advances in artificial intelligence, infrastructure, and cybersecurity. Before that, Dr. Anderson managed the Field Technology Practice and oversaw strategy development and execution of investment activity in technical areas including electronics, communications, materials, power, optics, sensors, Internet of Things, and commercial space. Dr. Anderson began her career at IQT on the Technical Staff as a subject matter expert in the fields of materials, manufacturing, and biology.
Prior to joining IQT in 2010, Megan worked as a Senior Scientist at Fluidigm Corporation, where she developed multiple products for next-generation sequencing applications. Dr. Anderson holds a bachelor's degree in both applied mathematics and general biology from the University of California, San Diego, and a doctorate in biochemistry and molecular biophysics from the California Institute of Technology.

Dr. Sarah Sewall's international security career spans government and academia and combines hard security with values and ethics. She currently serves as the EVP for IQT's National Innovation Policy group, focusing on informing public policy debates about the strategic implications of technology. She has served as Under Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy and Human Rights, responsible for issues ranging from counterterrorism to refugees; a member of the Defense Policy Board under Secretaries Gates and Hagel; the inaugural Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Peacekeeping, and Senior Foreign Policy Advisor to Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell.
Dr. Sewall served on the Harvard Kennedy School faculty for a decade, where she also directed the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy, pioneered research on civilian protection in war, and contributed to new operational military doctrine. She has been Minerva Chair at the Naval War College and the Speyer Distinguished Professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. A graduate of Harvard College, she received her doctorate from Oxford University, where she was a Rhodes Scholar.
George Hoyem serves as EVP of U.S. Investments. In addition to leading the IQT investment team, Hoyem has personally managed IQT's relationship with Cylance, D-Wave, Gitlab, Matterport, Phantom, Primer, Swarm Technologies and others. Hoyem joined IQT from Blueprint Ventures where he was a Managing Partner for 10 years. Previously, Hoyem worked at HPE where he ran the Internet Commerce Business unit after helping Verifone merge with HPE. At Verifone, Hoyem managed the Internet Commerce Business Unit, prior to its acquisition by HPE in 1998. Hoyem also served on the Board of Directors of the National Venture Capital Association, the venture capital community's flagship trade association where he advocated for issues relevant to corporate and strategic investors.
Outside of work, Hoyem supports a Western Michigan University initiative called TechNext, an impactful program to expose WMU students to high tech companies and VC backed startups in Silicon Valley. He is also an aspiring landscape photographer.

Howard Cox is an Advisory Partner at Greylock, a national venture capital firm. Greylock, with committed capital of over $2 billion under management, has been an active investor in enterprise software, consumer internet and healthcare.

Jeffrey Smith is a retired partner from Arnold & Porter and former head of the firm's National Security practice. He regularly counseled both U.S. and foreign companies on a wide range of national security issues. His practice included advising major defense and aerospace companies and representing major media organizations and individuals with respect to First Amendment issues and unauthorized disclosures of classified information.
Mr. Smith is a former General Counsel of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). He has also served as General Counsel of the Senate Armed Services Committee and was Senator Sam Nunn's designee to the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and the Iran/Contra Committee.
Liz Fox is an admittedly inexperienced but pretty good mother of three small children and enjoys cooking and skiing in her invisible spare time. Fox's alter ego, however, happily identifies as a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience in marketing communications, operations, and people management.
Fox began her tenure with IQT in 2012 and over the years, oversaw the company's administration, human resources, and recruitment. In this role, Fox observed the breadth of talent at IQT and learned to appreciate the staff's dedication to mission. Fox pivoted to the Product Marketing and Communications team to return to her marketing roots and continue to serve the people of IQT and the company's mission.
Fox joined IQT from The Washington Group of Northwestern Mutual, where she held the position of Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Fox was responsible for managing recruitment, coaching business development representatives, performance management programs/process, and human resources. Additionally, Fox supported the direction and implementation of the five-year strategic planning process. She began her time with The Washington Group as the company's Chief Marketing Officer, overseeing the company's marketing operations.
Previously, with McKinley Marketing Partners, a staffing firm providing interim marketing and communications contractors to Fortune 500 companies, Fox directed marketing communications as well as the development of custom web applications for recruitment, project management, and, in particular, customer relations.
Fox began her career directing events and managing the design and build of exhibits for clients such as Lockheed Martin Corporation, the United States Air Force, and CoverGirl Eyewear.
Fox received a bachelor's degree from the College of the Holy Cross. She resides outside of Boston, and is in the company's New England office, after spending the beginning of her tenure at IQT's headquarters in Arlington, VA.

Matthew Strottman joined IQT in 2003 and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer. In this position, he is responsible for overseeing the investment and portfolio analysis as well as the organization's corporate functions including finance, accounting, IT, human resources, and security. Prior to his appointment to COO, Strottman served as IQT's Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Before joining IQT, Strottman worked in the Technology Investment Banking Group at Friedman Billings Ramsey. During his time at FBR, he executed public and private equity financing, merger and acquisition, restructuring, and venture capital transactions totaling more than $3 billion. Strottman began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he focused primarily on the real estate and technology industries.

Michael M. Crow became the sixteenth president of Arizona State University on July 1, 2002. He is guiding the transformation of ASU into one of the nation's leading public metropolitan research universities, an institution that combines the highest levels of academic excellence, inclusiveness to a broad demographic, and maximum societal impact-a model he designed known as the "New American University."
Under his leadership ASU has established major interdisciplinary research initiatives such as the Biodesign Institute, Global Institute of Sustainability (GIOS), and more than a dozen new transdisciplinary schools, and witnessed an unprecedented academic infrastructure expansion, tripling of research expenditures, and attainment of record levels of diversity in the student body.
Crow was previously professor of science and technology policy and executive vice provost of Columbia University, where he served as chief strategist of Columbia's research enterprise and technology transfer operations.
Peter Barris has been Managing General Partner of New Enterprise Associates (NEA) since 1999, where during that time NEA's assets under management have grown from $1B to over $13B and operations have expanded to India and China.

Safra A. Catz has served as chief executive officer of Oracle Corporation since 2014 and a member of the company's board of directors since 2001. She previously served as president of Oracle and has also served as the company's chief financial officer. Prior to being named president, Catz held various other positions since starting at Oracle in 1999. She currently serves as a director of The Walt Disney Company and previously served as a director of HSBC Holdings plc.
Stephanie O'Sullivan (born October 3, 1959) is a former Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence (PDDNI). She was nominated by President Barack Obama for this role on January 5, 2011, at the recommendation of Director James. R. Clapper. On February 15, 2011, the Senate Intelligence Committee voted unanimously to recommend O'Sullivan's confirmation to the Senate, which later unanimously confirmed her.
In this role, she worked to assist the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) in managing the day-to-day operations of the intelligence community. Prior to serving PDDNI, she served as a senior leader at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), rising to the Associate Director of the CIA before being confirmed as the PDDNI.
She served as the Associate Deputy Director of the CIA from December 2009 to February 2011. Prior to that position, Ms. O'Sullivan headed CIA's Directorate of Science and Technology for 4 years. In that role, she managed CIA's technological innovation and support to case officer operations. In all, Ms. O'Sullivan spent over 14 years combined in the Directorate of Science and Technology. Before the CIA she worked in the Office of Naval Intelligence, and at TRW, which is now part of Northrop Grunman.
She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology.
Steve Bowsher serves as President & CEO of IQT where he sets and implements IQT's mission of identifying, evaluating, and leveraging emerging commercial technologies for the National Security Community and its allies. He previously served as Managing General Partner and Executive Vice President at IQT, leading the company's investment strategy since 2006. In addition to approving all deals in partnership with former CEO Chris Darby, Bowsher has personally managed IQT's relationships with Palantir, Databricks, MongoDB, Anaconda, Initiate Systems, Cleversafe, Cloudera, Immersive Wisdom, Reversing Labs, and others. Bowsher joined IQT from InterWest Partners, where he served as General Partner for eight years.
Previously, Bowsher worked at E*TRADE. During his tenure there, he helped launch Destination E*TRADE, the company's award-winning website. Bowsher was also an early stage employee at two startup companies, where he was responsible for revenue and distribution targets.
Outside of work Bowsher supports two terrific not-for-profits making the world a better place, Ravenswood Education Foundation and StreetCode Academy.
Bowsher graduated magna cum laude from Harvard and received his MBA from Stanford.

Ted Schlein is a General Partner at Ballistic Ventures, and a General Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Schlein joined KPCB in 1996 with a focus on early-stage technology companies in the enterprise software and infrastructure markets, including ventures within the networking and consumer security arenas.
As Chief of Staff, Dr. Zheng aligns priorities across IQT's leadership team, coordinates engagements across the USG, and implements business strategies designed to execute IQT's mission and vision. Prior to this role, Dr. Zheng served as VP, Technology leading investments in microelectronics, semiconductors, and quantum technologies to solve critical mission challenges facing the U.S. National Security and Intelligence Community.
Before IQT, Dr. Zheng was at Booz Allen Hamilton where he provided technical advising for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) including developing technical goals across a diverse set of technology areas such as thermal management, directed energy, RF communications, microelectronics, and photonics. While at DARPA, Dr. Zheng was the lead coordinator for the Electronics Resurgence Initiative (ERI) - a large-scale, multibillion-dollar effort to boost U.S microelectronics innovation.
In addition, Dr. Zheng served as an IEEE congressional fellow in the office of Senator Chris Coons where he focused on developing policy to boost U.S. R&D, support domestic manufacturing, and spur innovation and economic growth. Dr. Zheng helped with the initial development of the Foundation for Energy Security and Innovation (FESI) to commercialize innovative energy technologies which later became law in the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022.
Dr. Zheng holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, San Diego, and a doctorate in electrical engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
