IPE

The UVA ASPIRE Model provides a framework that helps us operationalize and embed the Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) core competencies into the design of IPE and Collaborative Practice educational activities. As we created programs at our institution, we identified three primary challenges that stood out as areas where our training could help contextualize the IPEC competencies and help our learners. Those areas are PRACTICAL TOOLS, LEADERSHIP TRAINING, and information about RELATIONAL FACTORS... To achieve our ultimate goal of improving patient care, we strive to build better healthcare teams by engaging a wide variety of clinicians and scholars. We believe that healthcare in enriched by the inclusion of many different perspectives. In addition to engaging those who are traditionally involved in healthcare teams (bedside clinicians, patients, their families, hospital/clinic personnel), we are reaching out to educators, experts in organizational behavior and design..
