Albert Killen

As Senior Vice President Emeritus of INTUITIVE, Albert Killen, Ph.D., oversees the development of strategies and business planning necessary to maintain the organizations operations and competitiveness. Dr. Killen is responsible for establishing client relationships and strategizing big picture growth opportunities, alongside the executive team. His expertise in the area of emerging technology, coupled with his passion for research and development, contributes immensely to INTUITIVE's overall business value and competitive differentiation. Dr. Killen joined INTUITIVE as a Senior Vice President in 2009 and served as the organization's Chief Technology Officer until 2019. Prior to his corporate career, Dr. Killen dedicated more than 19 years to civil service, retiring as Assistant Deputy Director for the Weapons Sciences Directorate at the Army's Aviation and Missile Command, where he was responsible for implementing and executing the basic and applied research in the physical and engineering sciences for the Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center at Redstone Arsenal. He was also the Director of the Unmanned Systems Initiative at the Research Center where he had direct responsibility for the investigation, development, and evaluation of technologies to be inserted into unmanned platforms for both aerial and ground vehicles. Dr. Killen received a Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D. of Aerospace Engineering from Mississippi State University in 1983, 1984, and 1994, respectively, and also a Masters in Business Administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1999.

Harold R. Brewer - Chairman, Founder

Harold R. (Hal) Brewer is Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of INTUITIVE. When he co-founded the company in 1999, Mr. Brewer created a company focused on unwavering ethics, strong community involvement and employee flourishment. He centered the company's foundation on ethical principles and core values-the same values that still radiate throughout the company today. Mr. Brewer has more than 40 years of management support experience, including over 30+ years of support to systems engineering and integration, production and industrial engineering, and program management for complex defense systems. During his civil service career, Mr. Brewer served as a senior level member of the General Officer's Staff. He was responsible for Acquisition Management and Systems Engineering oversight of two Major Defense Acquisition Programs ($500M+), ten Product Management Offices, and numerous Weapon System Management Offices. He established Command goals and processes for acquisition program development, evaluation, and management. Mr. Brewer developed strategic vision and policy recommendations in areas such as Life Cycle Management, Total Ownership Cost, Acquisition Reform, Horizontal Technology Integration, Integrated Data Management, and resource planning and management. He acted as a liaison for Army Materiel Command Headquarters and the Office of Assistant Secretary of Army for Research, Development, and Acquisition on matters of program and acquisition management. Currently as Chairman of the Board of INTUITIVE, Mr. Brewer is responsible for establishing management policies, ensuring the company's stability and profitability, and setting long-term objectives. By maintaining awareness of both external and internal competitive landscapes, Mr. Brewer is able to identify new opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, new industry developments and standards. Mr. Brewer received a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB), a Product/Production Engineering Diploma from the U.S. Army Materiel Command Training Center, and an Advanced Program Manager Diploma from the Defense Systems Management College. He has also completed graduate coursework at the University of Alabama in Huntsville in engineering and organizational management. In December 2011, Mr. Brewer was recognized by UAB's School of Engineering as one of their 40 Engineers Making a Difference and in 2019, Mr. Brewer was honored as a Top Innovator of the Year by Fortune Magazine and Great Place to Work®. Under his leadership, INTUITIVE has earned over 125 awards and accolades for its culture, work environment, employee satisfaction, and contributions to National defense. National recognitions include honors such as the National SBA Prime Contractor of the Year, Inc. Melissa DeVore

Melissa DeVore serves as the Senior Vice President of Employee Experience. Mrs. DeVore is responsible for ensuring continued focus on employee experience, leading our Human Resources and Talent Acquisition functions, ensuring and helping the company prepare for successful strategic growth. She leads our efforts to connect solidly up and down the organization chain, to engender trust and build relationships. She partners with INTUITIVE's leadership across the board to develop our employees, enabling their growth and providing our customers with outstanding solutions and support. Before joining INTUITIVE, Mrs. Devore served as a trusted business partner and key member of Executive Teams providing leadership for, and direct engagement in all aspects of Human Resources, employee engagement, and cultivating company culture. She has over 25 years of experience with 15+ years in the government contracting industry. She has also worked in the biotechnology, banking, and staffing industries. Mrs. DeVore graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in both General Management and Human Resources Management from the University of New Mexico. She obtained a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. Mrs. DeVore has successfully obtained and maintains her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and her Society of Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certifications. In addition, her SHRM volunteer experience includes roles as the Alabama State Director, State Conference Chair roles in both Alabama and New Mexico, Chapter President, and numerous other chapter and state council roles.

Melissa Hays - SVP

Melissa Hays serves as Senior Vice President of Business Operations and Chief Financial Officer. Mrs. Hays is responsible for the integrity and accuracy of all data that is distributed to both internal and external customers. She focuses on the accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management, and financial performance of the company. As well, Mrs. Hays oversees the contracts process to include contract negotiation and execution. She is experienced with the rigorous FAR, DFAR and DCAA regulations required to have a successfully compliant organization. Mrs. Hays joined INTUITIVE in 2009 as the Director of Finance and Accounting. In this role she grew her department by threefold before officially naming a Contracts Director and Finance and Accounting Director to aide overseeing the day to day functions. Mrs. Hays career is composed of over thirty years of diversified experience in public and private accounting positions. She started her career at Ernst & Young, LLP, an international Certified Public Accounting firm focusing on audits of public companies. She is a Huntsville native and, in that regard, had a desire to move back to Huntsville and did so as the firm's Huntsville presence focusing on Huntsville clients, including government contractors. Mrs. Hays then worked for Intergraph Corporation in the Corporate Financial Reporting group where she was responsible for SEC compliance and preparing the corporate financial statements and being the interface with external auditors. She also served as the Revenue Assurance Manager at ITC DeltaCom, Inc., a publicly held telecommunications company where she focused on internal controls and workflows to ensure all revenue was being captured and accounted for accurately. Prior to joining the INTUITIVE team, Mrs. Hays worked as a Manager at Beason & Nalley, Inc., a Certified Public Accounting firm specializing in government contractor audits. Her experience in government contracting and accounting has helped develop accounting processes and procedures that have resulted in INTUITIVE maintaining their approved accounting system, purchasing system, and DCAA audited and approved indirect rate structure. Mrs. Hays received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and her Masters of Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting from Troy University. She is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Fraud Examiner, and a Certified Professional Contracts Manager.

Mr. Alan Segrest

As Vice President of Corporate Operations, Mr. Alan Segrest, is responsible for the management, oversight, and execution of INTUITIVE's operations strategy, structure, and processes. With a focus on maximizing employee and customer experiences, Segrest is responsible for day-to-day company mechanics, ensuring efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization. In his position as Vice President of Corporate Operations, he also plays a significant role in the development and execution of the company's departmental operational plans, budgeting, forecasting, and advance planning. Segrest joined the INTUITIVE team in 2005 as a financial analyst. Throughout his career with INTUITIVE, he has held positions such as Subcontracts Administrator, Project Lead, Deputy Program Manager, Program Manager, and Division Manager. From entry-level to executive leadership, Segrest's contributions and commitment to INTUITIVE have attributed to the company's reputation as a leader its industry. His strong supervisory skills and extensive knowledge of the company's principles, procedures, and best practices enable him to make strategic operational decisions to increase productivity, profitability, customer satisfaction, and the company's overall success. Mr. Segrest earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and Master of Business Administration with emphasis in Information Systems from Auburn University. He is also Project Management Professional (PMP) certified.

Mr. Michael (Mike) Bieri

Mr. Michael (Mike) Bieri joined INTUITIVE's executive team in 2018 and serves as Senior Vice President of Huntsville Operations. With over 38 years of experience in the defense industry, Bieri strengthens and expands INTUITIVE's core capabilities and business management. Before joining INTUITIVE, he retired from the Government's Senior Executive Service. Bieri worked in a variety of positions at Redstone Arsenal starting in 1986 including numerous technical and managerial assignments within the Program Executive Office (PEO) Missiles and Space. His later assignments within the PEO were Deputy PM for CMDS, acting Deputy PEO, Director of Integration, and Deputy PEO for Acquisition and Systems Management (DASM). In his last government assignment, he served as the Director of the Engineering Directorate, part of the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command, Aviation and Missile Center, responsible for providing Life Cycle Engineering expertise to Aviation and Missile PMs, MDA, as well as a host of other customers. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Dakota State University and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School's Senior Executive Fellows program. He is level III certified in several Acquisition Corp categories.

Mr. Timothy (Tim) Mango - EVP

Mr. Timothy (Tim) Mango is the Executive Vice President responsible for corporate development and operational oversight dedicated to serving the US Federal Government's space, missile, aviation and homeland security organizations across the country. Before rising to Executive VP, Mr. Mango was the Senior Vice President of INTUITIVE's Florida Operations where he oversaw the company's highly successful expansion as it met the needs of the Government Customer at Eglin AFB, Pensacola NAS, and Panama City NSA. Prior to joining INTUITIVE, Mr. Mango was the Sector Vice President, Huntsville (AL) Metro for CGI Federal where he was responsible for new business development, operational management and profit and loss accountability. Previously, Mr. Mango represented Honeywell in Huntsville as Director of Business Development and Government Operations. He also spent 7 years at COLSA Corporation in Huntsville where he served as Vice President of Business Development, Director of Space Operations, and Program Manager. Before joining the private sector, Mr. Mango served 22 years in the U.S. Army. He held several technical and tactical assignments in Aviation and Space Operations as well as Joint and Interagency positions in the U.S. and oversea. His final role was at Space and Missile Defense Command as the Director of the U.S. Army Kwajalein Atoll Directorate. Mr. Mango received a Bachelor of Science from University of Nevada Las Vegas and holds a Masters of Business Administration from Auburn University.

Mr. Tommie Newberry

Mr. Tommie Newberry, Executive Vice President Emeritus, manages execution of business development activities and works closely with the executive team to identify new areas for growth. Mr. Newberry helps set organizational goals and ensures objectives and requirements are in line with the company's mission. His expertise is instrumental in the development and execution of strategies to meet short- and long-term goals. He is also responsible for fostering and maintaining current and potential customer and subcontractor relationships. Before joining INTUITIVE, Mr. Newberry was the President of 3D Research Corporation from 2006-2007 and was their Chief Operating Officer from 2004-2006. Prior to 2004, he was a career U.S. Army Officer and retired as a Colonel with over 27 years of active service. His last active duty assignment was as the Project Manager for Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Systems, which included PATRIOT, the PATRIOT Advanced Capability 3 (PAC-3) missile program, and the Tri-national Medium Extended Air Defense System (MEADS) program. His other active duty assignments include Project Manager for Kinetic Energy Missiles, Project Manager for Short Range Air Defense Systems, Product Manager for the STINGER Air Defense Missile System, Deputy Program Manager for the Army Mountain Top Experiment, and various command and staff positions in the U.S., Germany, and Korea. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, the Defense Systems Management College, and the U.S. Air Force Air War College. He also holds a M.S. in Management from Webster University, a M.S. in Strategic Studies from the Air University, and a B.S. in Marketing from Arkansas State University.

As Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of INTUITIVE, William J. Marx, Ph.D., oversees the development of strategies, business, and operations planning for technology and systems required maintain a competitive edge within INTUITIVE's marketplace. Dr. Marx is responsible for developing the technical vision for the company, aligned with the company's technology needs, business objectives, and customer missions. He is responsible for setting the overall goals of the company related to Research and Development. He is working to increase INTUITIVE's technical portfolio and capabilities associated with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML), big data analytics, cloud engineering and platform development, digital engineering and digital twins, and data science and visualization. Dr. Marx is responsible for development of INTUITIVE's growing IP and patent library; his team has been awarded 9 patents and has multiple additional patents pending. Dr. Marx joined INTUITIVE in 2013, as the Deputy Director of Design and Engineering. Later, he was appointed as Director of Research and Development. In those roles, he was responsible for providing technical direction to existing programs and projects, and for execution of several R&D initiatives. Dr. Marx has also contributed to INTUITIVE's success in the areas of process improvement, software and technology development, and new business capture and pursuit. Prior to joining INTUITIVE, Dr. Marx held various technical and management positions with Rockwell International, The Boeing Company, and Schafer Corporation. In these capacities, he was responsible for programs for the US Army, US Air Force, US Navy, MDA, NASA MSFC, NASA HQ, and DARPA. He was also an Adjunct Associate Professor at UA-Huntsville where he taught Engineering Economics. He has written software in FORTRAN, C, JOVIAL, Matlab/Simulink, Lisp, Visual Basic, and tk/tcl. He has experience with dozens of software packages associated with flight performance prediction, structural design and optimization, finite element modeling and analysis, trajectory analyses, missile 6-dof performance predictions, and 3D modeling and animation. Dr. Marx has authored and presented numerous conference papers on topics including aircraft structural design and optimization, hierarchical cost estimating, Integrated Product and Process Development (IPPD), Artificial Intelligence (AI), missile guidance and control, miniature propulsion systems, spacecraft architecture design and optimization, and communication networks. He has authored and published refereed articles in the AIAA Journal of Aircraft, the Journal of Artificial Intelligence for Engineering Design, Analysis, and Manufacturing (AIEDAM), and most recently in the Journal of Current Problems in Diagnostic Radiology. He has delivered invited presentations at the National Center for Advanced Technologies on the topic of Cost as an Independent Variable (CAIV), and as part of an AIAA Professional Studies Series associated with IPPD for Aerospace Systems.
