For conducting state-of-the-art monitoring of underwater sound, the itap GmbH has developed an own, efficient measuring system. This mainly consists of an underwater measuring unit with hydrophone and a cable, leading to a transmitter buoy and a receiver placed at a sufficient distance on a vessel.
