Chris Findlater began his career in medical science with a prominent Australian medical laboratory. His interest in information technology developed when he was asked to create an information system for the laboratory, as nothing suitable was available at the time. After this successful implementation, Chris undertook IT development for a number of different organisations, and in 1977 launched Ironbark Software and a full time IT career. Chris has written, developed and project managed the implementation of IT systems under the Unix and Windows NT environments, from single user systems to organisations utilizing hundreds of users. In the late 1990's Chris also supervised and worked on the Y2K compliance of Ironbark Software's user base, ensuring the minimisation of Y2K risk.
