The adsorption of molecules from solution to solid surfaces is a topic of fundamental importance. Measuring the amount of adsorbed material, its identity and physical properties is critical within many innovations including biomedical devices, personal care products and oil and gas production. This workshop will focus on the techniques used to measure molecular adsorption at the solid surface from liquid and issues related to the theory and data analysis methods... Many traditional surface analysis techniques operate in vacuum and are useful for ex-situ analysis, however there are also a number of approaches for in-situ analysis, including optical, gravimetric and labelling methods. Advances in these different methods have happened independently and a coherent comparison of them is lacking.
