Ciara Burrowes joined the IVCA in 2002. Her role within the IVCA has grown and developed during the last 20 years; she manages the association. Ciara previously specialised in magazine and newspaper publishing. To relax Ciara loves walking and volunteering with her rescue dog Lola.

Denise Sidhu is a Partner and Director of Kernel Capital and Kernel Strategic and is a member of the firm's Venture Capital Funds' Investment Committees. Since joining the firm in 2001, Denise has played a key role in over 20 trades sales of our Venture Capital Funds' portfolio companies. Denise has specific responsibility for execution of legal transactions and our Venture Capital Funds' regulatory compliance. She is currently Vice Chairman of the Irish Venture Capital Association. Denise is a board member with portfolio investees Cirdan Imaging, B-Secur, Nova Leah and Kianda Technologies and previously held lead roles across the portfolios. Prior to joining Kernel, Denise was Head of Finance in Ulster Bank Commercial Finance Limited and prior to that Financial Controller of The Bank of Nova Scotia, Channel Islands. Denise is a Certified Public Accountant and a Licentiate of the Compliance Institute in Ireland. She has completed a Diploma in Compliance, UCD, and Diploma in Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency, Law Society of Ireland.
Sarah-Jane has been Director General of the IVCA since January 2018. Previously she has worked in commercial roles in the healthcare and medical device sectors and for a representative body in the Lifesciences sector. In her free time Sarah-Jane likes nothing more than socialising with family and friends and keeps fit mainly by running around after her children.
