Dave Beattie

Dave started working with Floris Construction in 1979 and stayed on with the company when it was incorporated in 1996, making him our longest standing employee. During his time with us, he has been able to complete his carpentry apprenticeship and journeyman certificate. Over the years, Dave has taken on many different supervisory positions for credit unions and renovation projects. Today, he is one of our most esteemed project managers and is responsible for project estimation, cost control, scheduling, project management, project close-out procedures, sub-trade contracts, and weekly onsite project reviews.

John Floris - President

John took over Floris Construction from his father when it was incorporated as J. Floris Construction Ltd. in 1996. After graduating from BCIT in 1983 with a major in Economics from the Building Technology Program, John began working in the construction industry. Now, John oversees each on-going project, completing regular site visits to ensure scheduling and quality standards are being met. As principal of J. Floris Construction Ltd., John personally ensures each project is completed with the standard and care his company is known for.

Kevin Wiebe

Job Titles:
  • Project Manager
Kevin began working with J. Floris Construction Ltd. in 2017 bringing with him 32 years of experience in the construction industry, including design, construction management, production manufacturing, and project management. Through being a Red Seal Journeyman, Kevin has completed projects ranging from residential to commercial and industrial projects. Kevin's skillset includes project planning, construction management, site coordination, design, and engineering services, and is currently working towards his PMP designation.
