Charissa is our director of client services with over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Her dedication to helping clients is what's kept her in financial services all these years. As leader of the client services team, she enjoys mentoring our newer staff members, imparting her knowledge of the industry. Charissa is originally from Southern California and moved to the Seattle area with her family in 2002. She married her high school sweetheart and together they have three children, including boy/girl twins. Charissa enjoys reading, music, art and gardening. Education AA, Liberal Arts, Cypress College

Chris Bentley

Chris has 30 years of experience working in the financial services industry. He taps into that knowledge to help clients plan for and achieve their financial goals. In his first 20 years in the industry he worked in the mutual fund administrative sector where he was able to apply his degree in business administration. There he learned the importance of multi-tasking, time management and paying attention to details. For the most recent 10 years, Chris has enjoyed helping families and individuals to plan for, build, and protect their wealth so that they can focus their time and energy on what matters most to them. He thrives on building deep, long term relationships and bringing peace of mind to his clients. Outside of work, Chris and his wife enjoy cooking, hiking, travel and spending time with family. Chris was the final member of his family to relocate to the Seattle area from Boston where he grew up and started his career. Education BBA, Skidmore College

David Monsees

As a Support Advisor, David is driven to provide excellent support to our clients and advisors at Joslin Capital. He began his career in the financial industry in 2020 after serving 10 years in the Navy as a submarine officer and another 2 years with the Navy Reserves. He brings a problem-solving mentality with a close attention for detail. He is eager to assist in any way possible and is passionate in helping clients meet their financial goals. Originally from North Carolina, David first lived in Washington from 2016 to 2017, when he was on staff with a Navy Destroyer Squadron based out of Everett. He moved back permanently in late 2019 and brought his wife and their dog. He enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking and skiing, and is involved in volunteering through his local church. Lori Bawden

As operations associate, Lori works behind the scenes to ensure the investment performance numbers of our clients' portfolios are up-to-date and accurate. She does this by managing our portfolio accounting and performance reporting systems. After graduating from Washington State University with a degree in hotel and restaurant administration, and managing a fast-paced restaurant as well as a retail store, Lori joined the Joslin Capital team in 2004. Lori enjoys cooking, running, jig-saw puzzles, painting and spending time with her family. Education BA, Hotel and Restaurant Administration, Washington State University

Mike is the founder and CEO of Joslin Capital Advisors. He is passionate about investing. He is just as passionate about people and the incredible impact smart financial decisions can have on their lives. When he saw that he could marry the two, he left a successful career as a CPA in 1986 to become a financial advisor, eventually creating his own firm in 1999. At Joslin Capital, Mike leads our efforts to give people the future they've always dreamed of. With his vast knowledge of investing (and his thirst to know more), he gives our clients smart financial advice. As company founder, Mike has built a culture based on trust, integrity, respect and the Golden Rule. At Joslin Capital, these values will never go out of style.
