Dave Maiocco

Dave Maiocco - Dave started with JLS in 2008 as a seasonal employee during his summer vacations. Since graduating from Assumption College in 2013 with a BA in International Business, he has become a full time member of the JLS team. Dave is a universal member of the team and handles a variety of tasks from operations management to customer service. His dedication to the company and customers is evident through his passion for the industry. He is sure to become a familiar face to our clients as he practices his philosophy of building personal relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.

John's Landscape Service, Inc. continued to grow as John did. When he was 16, he purchased his first truck, a Dodge D-50, for $500. The following year, he convinced his parents to loan him $3,000, out of their home equity loan, for a commercial mower. He was able to repay that loan in the first six months, with interest. John continued to grow John's Landscape Service by marketing his services to other neighborhoods within Arlington and the surrounding communities. By the end of high school, John's Landscape Service, Inc. was servicing more than 100 clients. Beginning in the fall of 1992, John attended Northeastern University in pursuit of a degree in Business Management, utilizing NU's highly regarded co-op program. John petitioned Northeastern to allow him to use John's Landscape Service as his co-op and took this opportunity to build and market the company's services. He purchased additional equipment, hired new staff and marketed in additional communities. When John received his BS in Business Management from Northeastern in June 1997, John's Landscape Service had grown to servicing more than 300 clients. In the fall of 1997, John relinquished control of day-to-day operations to the capable management team he had built while he pursued a career in the financial markets in New York, working on the floor of the prestigious New York Stock Exchange. Over the next eight seasons, although removed from day-to-day operations, John continued to closely monitor John's Landscape Service and manage all financial and marketing aspects of the business, as well as designing the growth strategies. John would make the four-hour drive from New York each weekend during the season to ensure operations were running smoothly.

John Tighe - Owner & President - John is entering his 28th season of operating John's Landscape Service, Inc. Customer service and satisfaction continues to be his main priorities. John provides hands-on, day-to-day management of all aspects of John's Landscape Service, Inc. He is always available for his customers' calls and meeting requests. In addition to his landscape experience, John worked in the financial industry for eight years after graduating Northeastern University in 1997. His work in the financial industry brought him to New York, Russia and Boston before he decided to return to John's Landscape Service, Inc. to pursue his own entrepreneurial passions. He believes his experience in working for himself as well as for large corporations has been instrumental in the fast and focused growth of John's Landscape Service, Inc. John ensures that John's Landscape Service offers a different perspective on client value than most other companies provide. John Tighe, founder and President, founded John's Landscape Service in 1986 at the age of 12. He marketed his lawn mowing and clean-up services through flyers, which he created in his 7th grade printing class. He delivered flyers to houses on his paper route for the Boston Globe and all of the surrounding neighborhood houses. He tucked flyers under the windshield wipers of cars at the neighborhood church on weekends. His first 20 clients were all within walking distance of his childhood home in Arlington, MA. He pushed his lawnmower from house to house with gas, a rake, and a broom in tow.

Kristin Fish

Kristin Fish - Kristin joined the John's Landscape team in the fall of 2012 as one of our in-house Landscape Designer. Kristin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Connecticut. Her design experience includes residential, commercial, waterfront, roof top garden, schools, parks and public streetscape. Having worked in Connecticut, New Jersey and Massachusetts, Kristin appreciates the rugged beauty of our region and seeks to preserve this natural beauty in her design work. As an L.E.E.D. (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified professional, her personal design preference often focuses on a design as an extension of the home. It is her belief that each property is unique in its own right yet should act as a functioning piece of its surrounding environment.

Lisa Bierman

Lisa Bierman - Lisa Bierman has more than 15 years of experience in horticulture, residential and commercial landscape design. Lisa provides a full range of design services to clients: master plans, plant installation, lighting, irrigation, water features, hardscape and architectural elements. Lisa carries a BS in Horticulture from the University of Maryland and a Masters-level certificate of Landscape Design from George Washington University. She is also a member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD).

Susan Cahill

Susan Cahill - Susan has been with John's Landscape Service, Inc. for more than six seasons. She is the friendly voice you hear when you call our offices. Susan puts her prior experience in database management to good use by expertly handling all of your service and billing inquiries.
