Hideo Sashinaka

Hideo Sashinaka has over 25 years of experience in the electric power industry. He is currently responsible for assessing, steering and supervising the technical issues for our power facilities and researching future available technology. Prior to joining J-POWER USA, Hideo was the owner's engineer in the development and construction of the state-of-the art coal-fired power plants in Japan, making use of his operation and maintenance experience. Hideo also has experience in performing investment evaluations from a technical and financial perspective for new development projects. Hideo holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Tokyo University and also a Master of Mechanical Engineering from Tokyo University.

Hirofumi Hinokawa - COO, SVP

Hirofumi Hinokawa has over 15 years (including over 7 years in US) of experience in international power development and administration. Mr. Hinokawa is responsible for J-POWER USA's company operations, project evaluation, development activities, internal administration, as well as acting as an intermediary to J-POWER USA's parent company headquartered in Tokyo. Mr. Hinokawa earned a BS in Law from the University of Tokyo, and an LL.M. from Boston University School of Law. He is an attorney at law admitted in the State of New York since 2005.

Justin Sperrazza

Justin Sperrazza is the Vice President of Commercial Operations at J-POWER USA. Justin has 15 years of experience in the power generation industry, the past 8 years with J-POWER USA. He is primarily focused on the participation of the company's merchant power portfolio across multiple deregulated power markets. Justin drives development and implementation of the company's strategy for energy marketing and trading, fuel supply, fuel transportation and storage, energy market risk management, and other associated commercial activities. He works to optimize returns for the existing portfolio and provide market support for future development opportunities. Prior to joining J-POWER USA, Justin worked at Tennessee Valley Authority, the largest government-owned energy provider in the U.S. There, he spent time in a variety of commercial roles mainly focused on natural gas scheduling, trading, and asset management. He has led negotiations for natural gas supply, pipeline, and storage contracts and has experience working as liaison with key operational stakeholders including plant operations management, transmission planning, and balancing authority. Justin has a BBA in Accounting and an MBA from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga

Kevin Miller

Kevin Miller is the Vice President of Asset Management, Operations, and Construction of J-POWER USA. Kevin has 30 years of experience in the power generation industry, the past 5 years with J-Power USA and the prior years with multiple Engineering and Construction industry. Prior to joining J-POWER Kevin worked extensively in the power industry working for several Engineering and Construction companies. He has held positions of responsibility in project and engineering management, construction management, design, and commissioning of combined cycle, cogeneration, and coal-fueled power plants. His experience encompasses project management, engineering management, and engineering design. Kevin began his career with H.B. Zachry and Black & Veatch where he has been recognized multiple times for outstanding leadership on projects. Kevin earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering and Physical Science from Kansas State University.

Koichi Matsumura - Treasurer

Koichi Matsumura has 12 years of experience in the electric power industry. He is currently responsible for the receipt, custody and disbursement of all funds and securities, keeping minutes of the meeting of the stockholders and the Board of Directors and ensuring all corporate resolutions are duly prepared and executed in accordance with bylaws of the company. Prior to joining J-POWER USA, Koichi worked at J-POWER (EPDC) Headquarters in Tokyo and was mainly in charge of the construction budget management for the nuclear power plant. He has 2 years of hydroelectric power plant land management experience in J-POWER West Regional Headquarters as well. Koichi holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Keio University.

Masuhide Inoue - Chairman

Masuhide Inoue is the Chairman of the Board of J-POWER USA, and also the President of J-POWER North American holding company, the parent company of J-POWER USA. Masuhide joined J-POWER (EPDC) Headquarters in Japan in 1991 and began his career working in nuclear energy development. After that, Masuhide has worked primarily in two departments: the Corporate Planning Department and the International Business Department. Most recently he was the Director-General of the International Business Management Department. Masuhide comes to the US with more than 30 years in the power industry. Masuhide holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Waseda University and was a visiting researcher at MIT Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research (CEEPR).

Michael Hammond

Mike Hammond is the Senior Vice President of Business Development at J-POWER USA and is responsible for managing and directing the business development activities of J-POWER USA. Mike has over 30 years of experience in the energy sector as both an institutional investor and a developer. The past 15 years have been focused on renewable power including wind, solar and hydroelectric. He has been party to the development and financing of over 2,500 MW of renewable generation.

Paul Peterson - CEO, President

Paul Peterson is the President & Chief Executive Officer of J-POWER USA. Paul has over 30 years of experience, the past 15 years with J-POWER USA and the prior 15 plus years in the IT, automotive, services, and electronics industries. Prior to joining J-POWER USA, Paul worked at Motorola, and previously across industries with AT Kearney as a management consultant. Paul began his career at Electronic Data Systems. Paul earned an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and BS in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University.

Rick Noble - CFO, SVP

Rick Noble has over 25 years of experience in the energy and financial services industries. As Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Rick is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting,financing & tax activities of the business. Additionally, he is responsible for raising debt and equity capital to fund corporate growth initiatives through green-field project development and acquisitions. Rick has been with J-POWER USA since 2007. Prior to joining J-POWER USA, Rick worked at a number of IPP and IPP finance related companies which include Alliant Energy Generation, EP Power Finance, Heller Financial Services, Entergy Power Group and Occidental Energy Ventures/MidCon. As a consultant, he has also been active in the renewable energy industry where he provided strategic guidance for planning, structuring, valuing and financing potential investment opportunities for a variety of different types of energy transactions. Rick has earned a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and Masters in International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management.
