Alyssa Beck

Alyssa is a senior law clerk on The Kahler Law Firm team. Alyssa earned a Bachelor of Arts in Law & Justice from Laurentian University before completing her Paralegal Studies Diploma from Humber College. Alyssa is a licensed paralegal with the Law Society of Ontario. With close to 10 years of experience working in the area of civil litigation, Alyssa has specifically focused on plaintiff personal injury and long-term disability claims. She knows how to help our clients navigate through the challenging litigation process. Helping seriously injured people requires compassion and empathy, which she prides herself on.

Ashley Demelo

Ashley is a senior law clerk at the Kahler Personal Injury Law Firm. Ashley graduated with Honours from the Law Clerk program at Humber College. She started working as a legal assistant in Toronto from 2007 to 2011 and then in Barrie from 2011 to the present. Ashley prides herself on getting to know her clients and "being a strong support during what is often a difficult time that they have been forced into". When Ashley is not at the KLF office, she spends her time with her husband, their two daughters and their dog. Ashley and her family enjoy boating and she stays active and fit by participating in kickboxing classes.

Brennan Kahler is the founder and principal lawyer at the Kahler Personal Injury Law firm in Toronto. Brennan has spent his entire career representing injured people and their family members. Over the course of his career, Brennan has helped his clients recover more than $100,000,000.00 in personal injury compensation. Brennan has successfully argued and enforced the rights of injured people at all levels of court, including the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal. Brittany Stewart

Brittany Stewart is a licensed Paralegal and Accident Benefits Coordinator with The Kahler Personal Injury Law Firm. Brittany earned a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Law from Carleton University in 2019. She then went on to take the Ontario College Graduate Certificate for Paralegal studies and graduated with honours from Georgian College in 2020. Brittany is licenced as a paralegal by the Law Society of Ontario. She is also a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. Brittany prides herself on her ability to help clients whose lives have been completely altered following a severe accident and to be able to strongly advocate for them.

Christine Kahler

Christine provides legal consulting services to the Firm. Raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, Christine earned a Bachelor of Commerce (with Distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan in 1994 and later returned to the U of S to obtain her Bachelor of Laws (with Distinction) in 2001. Christine articled with a large national law firm in Calgary and was called to the bar in Alberta in 2002. After relocating to Toronto, she was called to the bar in Ontario in 2003 and worked for a downtown Toronto law firm before moving to Barrie in 2004.Christine is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association and the Simcoe County Law Association. Christine is a member of the Board of Directors of Kempenfelt Bay School in Barrie and in her spare time enjoys cooking, Pilates and traveling with her husband and three children.

Elisabeth Goodrham

Elisabeth Goodrham is a junior legal assistant with the Kahler Personal Injury Law Firm. Elisabeth earned her paralegal certificate, with honours, from Georgian College in 2022. Prior to turning her attention to a career in the legal field, Elisabeth received her diploma in digital photography and imaging from Georgian College in 2017 and is an extremely talented photographer. She loves to read and describes herself as a "huge book nerd". She has travelled to 14 different countries and when not travelling abroad she enjoys camping with friends and has a kitten named Soup.

Janet Diaz

Janet Diaz is a junior legal assistant with The Kahler Personal Injury Law Firm. Janet graduated with honours from the paralegal program at Humber College in 2021. Janet spent most of her childhood and teenage years in Argentina before moving to Canada when she turned 18. Having lived abroad, and being fluent in both Spanish and English, Janet has a particular appreciation for living in Canada and the opportunities it holds. "What I love most about working at KLF is the people and the results that the KLF team works hard to provide. From the clerks to the lawyers, everyone is always willing to help each other - with big or small tasks - to ensure the best service for our clients. We all work hard every day for each client, because they came to us for a reason and they deserve the best results." Outside of the office, Janet is the proud new mother of a young son. She enjoys spending time with her husband, taking family walks and watching movies.

Jennifer Pique

Jennifer Pique is an integral part of the administrative team at the Kahler Personal Injury Law Firm. Jennifer has been the Firm's "first point of contact" since 2015. Jennifer's friendly smile, helpful demeanor, and professional approach is appreciated by all. Before coming to the Kahler Personal Injury Law Firm Jennifer specialized in customer service, with over 10 years' experience as an administrative professional. In her spare time Jennifer enjoys traveling (especially to Portugal), cooking and spending time with her family.

Kenneth Ciupka

Kenneth Ciupka is an Associate Lawyer with The Kahler Personal Injury Law Firm. Ken earned a Bachelor of Arts (cum laude) from Algoma University in 2016. He then went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University in 2019. Ken was admitted to the Bar of the Law Society of Ontario in 2019. Ken is a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, the Simcoe Country Law Association and the Cochrane Law Association. Ken previously worked for a prominent personal injury law firm in northeastern Ontario before joining the Kahler Law Firm team. At KLF Ken effectively and compassionately advocates for those with grave injuries and vulnerabilities. "I was in a serious motor vehicle collision in 2009. My inspiration to pursue a career in law arose from the desire to assist those who had experienced similar circumstances. I have always felt that the fact that I have lived through a serious accident and have experienced the plaintiff personal injury process first hand has given me greater insight, and a particular empathy, for understanding my client's situation and their particular needs." When Ken is not hard at work in the office, he is an avid long distance runner. Over the last year, he has completed numerous races ranging from 5km to a half marathon! Ken also enjoys fishing, travelling with his wife, and spending time with family and friends.

Lane Foster

Lane Foster is an Associate Lawyer with the Kahler Personal Injury Law Firm. Lane attended the University of Manitoba where he obtained his Juris Doctorate degree. Lane was on the Deans' Honour List, achieving the 5 th highest GPA among his class in 2015. While attending the University of Manitoba, he worked as the Senior Editor of the Asper Review of International Business and Trade Law. He was also a Research Assistant for the Faculty of Law and published an academic paper about Canada's laws surrounding international corruption. Upon graduation, Lane then clerked at the Manitoba Court of Queen's Bench where he assisted judges with legal research and analysis. Lane Foster practices exclusively in the area of personal injury litigation. He has experience with motor vehicle accidents, accident benefit claims, slip and fall accidents, Long Term Disability claims, and various other types of injury claims. Lane is a member of the Law Society of Ontario. He is also a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers' Association and the Advocate's Society. In his spare time, Lane enjoys playing soccer, working out, and coaching track and cross country.

Lu Oates

Lu obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from a University in China before graduating from the Paralegal program at Georgian College with honours. She is a licenced paralegal with the Law Society of Ontario. Lu says that "what I absolutely love at KLF is that I work with a great team where everyone is very supportive of one another". this carries over to Lu's team approach to working with and supporting our clients. Lu appreciates the importance of ensuring that deadlines are always met to keep client matters moving efficiently. Lu focuses on the details to ensure accuracy and precision in all aspects of client file management. Lu is also fluent in Mandarin. In her spare time, Lu enjoys spending time with her husband, their cat and super energetic German Shepherd puppy. She also enjoys travelling.

Marybell Madrid

Marybell Madrid is a senior litigation law clerk, specializing in Personal Injury Law since 2002. Prior to joining the Kahler Law Firm, Marybell worked mainly at Insurance Defence Civil Litigation firms. With empathy and compassion, Marybell is a detail-oriented professional, dedicated to providing exceptional service to clients throughout the litigation process. Mehak was admitted to the Bar of the Law Society of Ontario in 2020. "As someone who has performed approximately 1,000 hours of community service, helping others is extremely important to me. Sandra Palacios

Sandra Palacios is a Law Clerk with the Kahler Personal Injury Law Firm. Sandra obtained her legal assistant diploma from George Brown College in 2001. She has extensive experience in personal injury and property loss matters. Having also previously worked in multiple legal settings, including insurance defence, Sandra has a deeper knowledge and understanding of a personal injury matter from both the plaintiff and defence perspective. In her spare time, Sandra enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren.
