Alex is a Member in the firm's Williamsburg office where his practice focuses on estate planning and administration, tax, and real estate. He is part of the firm's Credit Union Industries Team and works with credit unions on regulatory issues. He is also on the Securities Team, where he assists domestic and international companies with their initial public offerings, SEC compliance issues, private equity, securities offerings and regulation, and other corporate matters.

Ann is a founding member and past president of CREW Hampton Roads (Commercial Real Estate Women). She is president-elect of the Hampton Roads Commercial Real Estate Association, as well as many other professional organizations. Ann has repeatedly been recognized as one of the top lawyers in her field, including selection as one of the Best Lawyers in America, the Top Women in Commercial Real Estate by Virginia Business and as a recipient of the Women in Business Achievement Award by Inside Business.
Tony is a member of the firm's Corporate and Public Finance Group and China Team. Tony has worked on a variety of initial public offerings, private placements, secondary offerings and shelf registrations for companies listed on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange and American Stock Exchange. In addition, he assists listed companies with meeting their SEC and market compliance responsibilities. Tony advises public and private companies on a variety of corporate matters, from mergers and acquisitions to general corporate governance.

Brandon is an Associate in the firm's Norfolk office and a member of the Commercial, Business Taxation, Real Estate Strategies, and the Mergers, Acquisitions & Strategic Alliances Practice Groups. His practice includes advising clients on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, joint ventures, commercial leasing and development, across various asset classes, mergers and acquisitions, senior, mezzanine and subordinated credit facilities, preferred equity investments, partnerships, buy-outs, corporate restructuring, general business law and corporate and commercial transactions. In addition, Brandon advises clients on tax matters related to commercial transactions with a focus on syndications of historic tax credits in commercial real estate development transactions. Prior to joining the firm in 2016, Brandon worked in tax accounting with Ernst & Young LLP in McLean, Virginia.

Burt is the founder and past Chair of the firm's Labor and Employment Practice Group. Burt has extensive experience exclusively representing management in all matters involving the employer-employee relationship. He routinely represents and counsels employers in wrongful discharge claims, accusations of discrimination or harassment, covenants not-to-compete, and government audits of employment practices. Burt and his team offer employers one-on-one counseling as well as management training, including the widely recognized and well-attended Employment Law Update. These proactive measures help employers save time, money and energy by avoiding litigation.
