Dr. Sehgal has extensive experience in business development, technology evaluation, market research and licensing in biotechnology and pharma. His broad and deep knowledge of the life sciences supports his ability to rapidly and accurately assess which technologies are viable in the current market place and to discern the ideal licensing and partnering opportunities. He has over 10 years of combined experience in industry and academics in cancer molecular biology, cell biology, drug discovery, and drug, assay and therapeutics product development. Most recently he served as Director for molecular biology at a Silicon Valley biotechnology company. Dr. Sehgal is also a technical and content writer for market and research based reports for international clients and is a provider of expert opinion to scientific advisory boards. His expertise includes the business sectors of e-government, computer security, biotechnology and environmental technologies, and he is fluent in both Spanish and German. Dick has delivered applications and tools across Europe to telecommunications and financial services industries, and his technical knowledge extends from hardware and embedded systems through to complex software development suites and business process automation software. He set up Template Software UK in 1995, and under his guidance the company's European operations grew to close to 200 people with annual revenues in excess of $25 million, accounting for over 50% of worldwide revenue. Template Software IPO'd on NASDAQ in 1997. Prior to this he founded Instrumatic UK, the European arm of a pan-European supplier of high technology hardware and software solutions to industry, building the business up to £10 million in revenues, and then taking over as Executive Vice President for the parent company with responsibility for both operations and mergers and acquisitions.
