Abby Knepp

Abby graduated from Oakland City University in May 2008 with a Business Administration degree with concentrations in accounting and human resource management. Abby began her career with Kemper CPA Group as a tax intern in January 2008. Abby became full time with Kemper in May 2008. Her tax experience includes payroll filings, preparation of personal property tax returns, and preparation of income tax returns. She also holds a National Social Security Advisor Certificate. Abby transitioned to the Retirement Plan Services Department in the fall of 2015. Her responsibilities include assisting clients with their daily plan tasks and year-end reconciling and administration. Abby and her husband Kraig have two sons, Kason and Kolson. Abby is involved in her high school's volleyball program where she is the middle school coach.

Alex Huth

Alexander Huth (Alex) started his accounting career as an intern in our Columbus, Indiana office in January 2014. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and finance in July 2014 from Ball State University and was hired full-time after graduation. Alex passed the CPA examination and received his CPA license in March of 2016. As of December 2020, he now serves Kemper clients in our Greenfield, Indiana office. Alex has broad experience in taxation with the preparation and review of tax returns for individual, corporation, partnership, and not-for-profit clients. Andy Joseph Vogt

Andy J. Vogt was raised in Effingham, Illinois, and is a 2001 graduate of St. Anthony High School. He attended the University of Eastern Illinois University, and graduated in 2006 with bachelor of science degrees in accounting and finance, cum laude. He passed the CPA exam, and received his Missouri CPA license in 2008. Andy began his career with Lopata, Flegel & Company out of St. Louis in July 2006 as a tax accountant. He worked there for five years before returning to the Effingham community. Andy accepted a full-time accounting position with Kemper CPA Group on July 15, 2011. Andy specializes in multistate corporate & partnership taxation. He is expanding his knowledge of farm taxation as well as estate and trust taxation and small business consulting. He has extensive knowledge in state income and franchise tax. Andy is a fitness enthusiast and enjoys golfing, tennis, bike riding, swimming and running.

AnneMarie Clark graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a minor in finance. She earned her CPA certificate in November 2011. AnneMarie started her career with Kemper CPA Group LLP in 2008 as an intern and worked full-time until 2014, when she left the firm to accept a controller position in Robinson, Illinois. In 2015 she relocated to Fort Myers, Florida, where she worked as a tax manager at Hill, Barth & King LLC. Wanting to return home, she rejoined the Robinson, Illinois office of Kemper CPA Group in January 2017 as a tax and audit manager before becoming a partner in 2023. AnneMarie provides auditing and accounting services to local governments, not-for-profits, and small businesses. She specializes in the taxation of restaurants, farmers, and retailers. Anthony R. Showalter

Anthony R. Showalter, CPA has acquired experience in various accounting, auditing, and tax areas. Tony has extensive experience in dealing with banks, hotels, hospitals, and various other commercial industries. Tony graduated from the University of Evansville with a bachelor of science degree in business-accounting in 1979. He received his CPA certificate from the State of Indiana in April, 1984. After graduation, Tony accepted a staff accountant position with the Lawrenceville, Illinois office of Kemper CPA Group LLP. In October 1985, he became a partner of the Firm and was appointed partner-in-charge of the Firm's Washington, Indiana office in 1986. Aubrey joined the Evansville, Indiana office in January of 2008 and initially worked in both audit and tax before transitioning to a full-time audit role. Aubrey was promoted to senior staff accountant in 2010 and was later promoted to manager in 2015, where she is in charge of audit teams alongside the partner. She has developed extensive experience in auditing, working on audits of not-for-profits, governments, financial institutions, healthcare entities, and employee benefit plans. Bailey Greenwell graduated from Henderson Community College in December 2006 with an Associate in Arts. She began working in the accounting field in January 2011 and joined Kemper CPA Group in October 2012. Bailey specializes in bookkeeping and payroll and also assists with tax work. She became a QuickBooks ProAdvisor in 2018. She and her husband Kevin have two children.

Barry R Hatcher graduated from Campbellsville University in December, 1977 with a B.S. in business administration with an emphasis in accounting. He became a certified public accountant in 1983 and was a partner for 13 years in the accounting firm of Allen & Company, PSC and its predecessor firms prior to the August 2000 merger of that firm with Kemper CPA Group LLP (one of the one hundred largest CPA firms in the nation with offices in Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, and California). Carol L. Hamerski, CPA, CPC, joined Kemper CPA Group LLP as a staff accountant in 1995. She was promoted to senior accountant in 1997, principal in May 1998, and partner in 2001. Prior to entering public accounting and while she was completing her degree in accounting, Carol worked in a physician's office and hospital billing office for six years. This experience has provided her with a unique perspective in providing services to the Firm's health care clients. In addition, she has received substantial continuing education in health care services consulting and medical practice management. Carol's experience includes preparing all types of individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, preparing financial statements, and consulting with clients on accounting and tax issues. Carol works extensively with physicians and other medical practices on coding and compliance, revenue enhancement, cost containment, compensation arrangements, and consulting on medical practice management. Carol has developed and manages the medical billing services. Carol graduated Cum Laude from Eastern Illinois University with a bachelor of science degree in accounting in 1995 where she was a member of the business honor society, Beta Alpha Psi.
