In the "White Column Room" KHS designed a steel woven wire cage around the existing loading elevator; and on the upper floors KHS surrounded the elevator shaft and cage with floor to ceiling fire proof glass walls recycled from a demolished local high-rise with the intent of exposing the elevator cage and hoist-cables, while protecting occupants and conforming to fire code.
