LAKELAND VETERINARY HOSPITAL - Key Persons
Alyssa began working at Lakeland Veterinary Hospital in September of 2020 and graduated with an Animal Science degree from UW-River Falls in 2021. She returned to the clinic one year later when she moved back to the area to begin veterinary school in 2022. She is now a second year veterinary student at the University of Minnesota. Alyssa's hobbies include painting, movie nights, hiking, and spending time with her senior cat, Harriet, who she adores! Her passion for small animal general practice stems from the client, patient, and staff relationships she has made during her time at Lakeland Veterinary Hospital.

Courtney joined us in January of 2009. She is a home-grown girl, raised in the St. Croix Valley and graduated from Stillwater High School. She received her Veterinary Technician degree from Globe College. Courtney enjoys nature and wildlife, reading, and spending time with her husband and children. Her furry family currently includes 3 dogs - Reggie, Billy, and Evie.
Dr. Johnson graduated in 1980 from the University of Tennessee and practiced in Oak Ridge, Tennessee for one year before moving to the Twin Cities. He and his wife, Jeanie, started Lakeland Veterinary Hospital in 1983. Dr. Johnson has had a lifelong compassion for animals and a strong fascination for medicine. Dr. Johnson enjoys playing musical instruments, gardening, woodworking, fly fishing, camping, hiking, and cross-country skiing.
Dr. Johnson is available for ultrasound services.
Dr. Fairbairn was born and raised in Afton, MN and worked at Lakeland Veterinary Hospital while in high school. From that experience, she knew she wanted to become a veterinarian. In 1998, she graduated from the University of Minnesota and has since practiced in northern Minnesota and Wisconsin. She also spent two years teaching general practice veterinary medicine at the University of Minnesota Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Throughout her career, she maintained a close connection to Lakeland Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Johnson. In February 2017, Dr. Fairbairn purchased the clinic from Drs. Johnson and Drury, as they entered a well deserved retirement. Dr. Fairbairn is keeping with the great tradition of Lakeland Veterinary Hospital's compassionate care and brings a passion for dermatology, surgery and low stress handling of pets.
In her spare time, Dr. Fairbairn enjoys camping and fishing with her family, hiking and has completed numerous marathons, including Twin Cities and Grandma's. She has a teenage son and daughter, as well as one cat, two Labrador Retrievers, and a Cockapoo. Dr. Fairbairn enjoys time with her local church family and teaches classes at Five Oaks Church in Woodbury.
Dr. Fairbairn is available Monday through Thursday, and select Saturdays.
Dr. Tracy attended the University of Minnesota, where she first received a Bachelor's of Animal Science and then a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.
In her free time, she likes to jog, read, and try new restaurants. Her fur family currently consists of one Shiba Inu named Finn. Dr. Tracy has had a love of animals of all kinds since a child, but found herself being pulled towards the veterinary field as she also enjoys working with people and seeing the unique human-animal bond between owners and pets.
Dr. Tracy is available Monday, Wednesday through Friday and select Saturdays.
Jess began working at Lakeland Veterinary Hospital in May of 2000. Jess, her husband and two teenage children enjoy hunting, fishing, and archery in the summer and snowmobiling and skiing in the winter together. At her home in Somerset, WI, she has two German Shorthairs and a cat. Jess grew up in South Dakota with horses and originally had planned to work with them, but she fell in love with the staff and clients at LVH, 22 years ago, and decided this was where she wanted to stay.
Jordan joined Lakeland Veterinary Hospital in May of 2021. She moved to the area from her hometown of Byron, MN to attend the University of Wisconsin - River Falls. She graduated in the fall of 2021 with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science and a minor in Chemistry. Some of her favorite activities include hiking, reading, and watching movies. She has two cats, Zuko and Genos, that were adopted in August of 2022 from the clinic and loves spending time with her parents' dog, Freddie, and cats, Charlie and PJ.
Kate joined our clinic in February 2020 and graduated with an Animal Science degree from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls in 2021. At home, she has a standard poodle named Norman and an orange tabby cat, Toulouse. Some of Kate's favorite activities include horseback riding, painting, and filling her small apartment with as many plants as possible. She loves getting to make connections with our pets and owners here at Lakeland Veterinary Clinic.

Maya started working at Lakeland Veterinary Hospital in April of 2022. She is a Stillwater Area Highschool graduate that now lives in Bayport with her husband, Tyler, their two amazing labs, Mila and Willow and sassy-but-sweet cat, Zazu. Maya graduated with a Bachelor's in Communication Studies. She loves anything to do with the outdoors, kayaking, rock hunting, hiking and photography. Her passion is all things animals and she loves making connections with the wonderful clients and pets that walk through the door each day.

Robin has been with Lakeland Veterinary Hospital since 2020, but has had more than 30 years of experience. She is our resident "Cat Lady/Cat Whisperer", as she loves cats and is very experienced in their handling and care. Robin is especially interested in the anesthesia, dermatology and behavioral aspects of her job. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, horseback riding, birding, and warm weather. Her fur family consists of 3 rescued chihuahuas, 7 lovely cats and a few foster cats here and there.

Stacia joined Lakeland Veterinary Hospital in August of 2023. She lives in River Falls WI with her husband and two fur babies, Herman and Rodney. In her free time she can be found watching a Packer, Brewer or Badger game. Stacia enjoys her time with friends, family and animals. She is also a fan of HGTV and loves interior decorating / design.
Tammy joined our team in January of 2021. She graduated from Hudson Senior High School and attended WITC-New Richmond where she received her Associate Degree in Applied Science as a Veterinary Technician. Tammy is an animal lover and owns horses, mini donkeys, chickens, dogs and cats. She enjoys spending time with family, hunting, fishing, kayaking, and playing cribbage. Her passion for animals and drive to help owners provide the best care for their animals, through education, is what inspired her to pursue her career in the Veterinary Technician field.

Teresa graduated from Ridgewater College as a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2001 and is a Lakeland local. She enjoys watching her kids play hockey and skate on a synchronized figure skating team. Along with caring for her family dog, Gideon; in her free time, Teresa provides outside pet sitting services to Lakeland residents and surrounding areas in both MN and WI.
