Jillian ™s passion for architecture lies in its intersection between art and science. She is interested in how architecture affects communities, and the psychological implications of form, shape, and design. She has worked professionally for several years exclusively on affordable housing and is now pleased to be part of the KMA team working on a broad range of projects.
She holds several degrees from Temple University including a master ™s in architecture, a bachelor ™s in science of architecture, a minor in landscape design, as well as a minor in the arts. She was president of Temple ™s chapter of the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) and held leadership positions in multiple student organizations and worked as a teaching assistant for architectural history courses. Jillian also served as a continuing education Instructor for Temple ™s summer Architecture Intensive course, and is currently an adjunct professor for the foundation studio.
In addition to her degrees, Jillian has received the Architecture Department Memorial Award for Academic Excellence, the Architectural Research Centers Consortium King Student Medal for contribution to the field, graduated from her undergraduate degree cum laude, and was awarded the Alpha Rho Chi Medal for leadership, service, and merit in architectural education. She is a Navy veteran who deployed on the USS George HW Bush (CVN 77) and worked on F/A-18 Hornet Jets.
Jillian resides in Jenkintown with her husband and two sons. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her dog, cats, and chickens, cooking (as well as eating), and traveling. She loves taking her family to the Philadelphia Zoo, going on hikes, and spending time outdoors. Jillian also dreams of writing and illustrating a children ™s book someday!
