John Lally, P.E. (Lally) Mr. Lally founded Lally Consulting LLC in 2008 and serves as its CEO and Principal Engineer. In a career combined as consulting engineer and marine contractor, John has over 33 years of hands-on experience in the planning, engineering and construction of dredging, coastal protection, and environmental restoration projects. As one of the first coastal engineers in Louisiana in the early 1990s, Lally began to address large-scale coastal restoration efforts there, designing in total over 48 miles of varied shoreline erosion control projects to protect 56,000 acres of barrier islands and wetlands. John has since had the good fortune to work with several leading American and European dredging and marine contractors, as well as multinational engineering and environmental consultancies, participating in over 1,000 projects in the beach and wetland protection, port capital works, channel maintenance, sediment remediation, and habitat restoration sectors.
